The Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET 2020) organized by the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education is a state board exam conducted to appoint skilled teachers for both Private and Government schools of the state. HPTET 2020 Latest Notification – HP TET admit card 2020 has been released by Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala on 09th December 2020. The admit card has been released for all the papers - TGT, JBT, Shastru, Urdu and Punjabi on the official website of the exam. Candidates can download their HP TET admit card by using their application number and date of birth. It may be noted that HP TET admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the allotted test centre. Candidates not carrying their admit card on the day of the exam might not be allowed to give the paper.

The HP TET exam 2020 for all subjects will be conducted from 12th to 15th December 2020.

  • The Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 is an offline Pen-paper based exam that consists of objective type questions.
  • The exam paper will have a sum total of 150 questions which will be completed within the duration of 2 hours 30 minutes

HPTET Exam 2020 Eligibility

The premises of HPTET 2020 is conducted for the major 8 streams, like- Shastri TET, Language Teacher (English/Hindi/Urdu), JBT, TGT (Medical/Non-Medical/Arts), and others. The eligibility norms of HPTET 2020 are different for all the courses. Check out the below-mentioning table to have a clear idea about the outline of eligibility.

TGT (Non-Medical)

Passed 10+2 studies or equivalent with a minimum aggregate score of 50% and holds a B.Sc. or B.Ed. or relevant Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in elementary education.

TGT (Arts)

Must have cleared 12th board exams with minimum scores of 45% and have a degree in B.com., B.A. or Bachelor degree with 50% marks in elementary education.

TGT (Medical)

Obtain 50% marks in class 12th with a B.Sc. (Medical) or B.Ed. or Bachelor degree in elementary education with 50% marks.

Language Teacher

Apprentice must have a degree in Hindi or currently enrolled in the final year of diploma course (2 years).

Punjabi / Urdu Language Teacher

Must hold a degree in Punjabi or Urdu or currently enrolled in the final year of diploma course (2 years).

JBT (Junior Basic Training)

Must have passed class 12th with 50% marks and a Degree/Diploma in elementary education with 50%.

HPTET Exam 2020 Application Process

Students who are willing to work as a teacher in different subjects in a government or private sector school can send their entries for the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET 2020). The application forms were available for the November session on the official website from 19th October to 05th November 2020.

Steps to apply online for the HPTET 2020 exam -

  • Open the official website for HPTET 2020 Exam.
  • Click on the ‘TET (November-2020)’ option under the ‘CET/Vacancies’ menu.
  • Click on the ‘Register’ link.
  • Fill your personal information and other details without making any error.
  • Once you have filled the form, upload the scanned images of important documents viz. Photograph and signature.
  • Now pay the requested fee amount and submit your application.
  • Take a print out of your filled application form and keep it safe for future reference.

HP TET 2020 Application Form – Important Points

  • Candidates should fill their subject, category and sub-category in the online form carefully.
  • Candidates should fill their name, date of birth, parents’ names etc as per their Class X certificate.
  • Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form for one subject.
  • Candidates planning to appear for more than one subject need to fill separate application form and pay separate application fee.
  • Application forms submitted through any other medium (fax, post, etc.) will be rejected.
  • Candidates should retain the application number as it will be used in all the subsequent account logins.

HPTET 2020 Application Fee

The HPTET 2020 Application submission fee window was opened from 19th October to 05th November 2020, while the last date to pay fee with ₹ 300 late fee was 10th November 2020. Eligible aspirants can pay their requested amount through the online medium by using Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking option. The process of selection is completely depending on the applicant’s performance in the HPTET Entrance Exam organized by the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. Candidates who qualify the exam are issued HP TET certificate based on which they can apply for teachers’ job in Himachal Pradesh schools.

HPTET Admit Card 2020

HPTET Admit Cards are made available online, as the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has released the admit card for HP TET 2020 November examination on its official website. Candidates who have registered for the HP TET examination 2020 can now download their admit card online at hpbose.org. Students must remember that they have to download the admit card from the official website only as no physical admit card will be sent to their residential address.

HPTET Exam Center and Guidelines For Test

The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has decided 69 exam locations for HPTET 2020 within the state. Applicants have a chance to choose their exam city as per their preference while filling the application form. Once the test centre has been allotted to the candidate, it cannot be changed.

The exam conducting body has also released few important guidelines for the exam day. Check them all:

  • Candidates must not forget to carry their admit card.
  • Along with the admit card, candidates should also carry a valid and original photo ID proof such as passport, Aadhar card, etc.
  • Candidates should reach the allotted HP TET exam centre at least two hours before the commencement of the exam.
  • Candidates should carry minimum two ball-point pens of black and blue colour to the test centre.
  • Candidates should not carry any electronic gadget such as mobile phone inside the exam centre.
  • Candidates should not carry any textual material inside the exam centre.

The HPTET 2020 results were announced on 29th September 2020 for June term exam, while for November session it will be announced in December 2020. The results were declared by the exam conducting authority i.e. HPBOSE at its official website.
