There are five subjects, which are covered under the BSPHCL AO Exam. Their syllabi are explained below one by one:

Accounts: This subject covers General Aptitude/Awareness, Accounts, Financial Management, Cost Accounting, Taxation- Direct/ Indirect, Commercial Laws, Company Laws, Auditing and Ind AS.

Knowledge of Computer

  • Fundamentals of Computer: CPU, Memory, Hard Disk, Input/Out devices and Knowledge of Number System.
  • Basic Knowledge of Computer (Hardware and Software): Computer Software, Operating System and Computer Language.
  • Basic Knowledge of MS Office: MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.
  • Basic Knowledge of Internet: Web Browser, E-mail, Search Engines and Web servers.
  • Basic Knowledge of Computer Network: LAN, WAN and MODEM

Logical Reasoning: This subject covers Analogies, Similarities, Problem-solving, Differences, Analysis, Relationship Concepts, Observations, Verbal and Figure Classification, Space Visualization, Decision Making, Arithmetical Number Series, Arithmetical Reasoning, Judgement,  Visual Memory and Discrimination.

General English and Comprehension: It covers Antonyms, Synonyms, One Word Substitution, Error Detection, Idioms and Phrases and Passage Comprehension.

General Knowledge: It covers Current Affairs—National and International, Indian History, Indian Geography, Indian Constitution, Indian Culture and Heritage, Indian Polity and Science and Technology.

BSPHCL AO Exam 2018 Exam pattern

There will be Computer Based Test (CBT). If the applicants are more than 15000, then under this condition, the examination may be divided into two parts- Preliminary and Mains. Both exams will have objective type questions. The minimum qualifying marks for general, BC, EBC and SC/ST/Female candidates will be 40%, 36.5%, 34% and 32% respectively.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Chartered Accountancy final examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or the CMA/ICWA examination from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Candidates, who are appearing in the final year of examination, need not apply.

Candidates should note that the admit card is very important for them. They have to carry it to the examination hall along with any identity proof, such as voter ID, driving license, etc. The steps that they need to follow to download it include the following:

BSPHCL AO Selection Process 2022

The selection of candidates depends on the following factors:

BSPHCL AO Probation Period 2022

The selected candidates will be under probation period of 3 years from the date of appointment. In case their performance is unsatisfactory, then probation period may be extended.
