Assam SLET 2022 (SET Exam) - Eligibility Criteria, Pattern, Syllabus, Application Process, Result

Assam SLET 2022 exam notification was released and the application process started from 11th November 2021 onwards. The exam is conducted for determining the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor in the North-Eastern region. The Assam State Level Test (SLET) has been renamed the State Eligibility Test (SET).  Thus, candidates must not get confused with SLET and SET; they are the same. The exam was proposed to cover the aspirants of the North Eastern Region. It covers states viz. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Tripura.

Latest Update: The application for the Assam SLET 2022 exam started on 11th November 2021. The exam is scheduled to be held on 27th February 2022.

Assam SLET Exam Pattern

The SLET 2022 exam will comprise two papers. Both the papers will have objective type questions of the following types:

  • Multiple Choice Questions
  • Assertion and Reasoning
  • Matching
  • True and False

Paper-I will have questions from teaching aptitude/ research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.

Paper-II will have subject-based questions.

Syllabus Assam SLET 2022

The syllabus for each subject of the SLET 2022 exam is available on the official website. Candidates can download the same as per the subject they have applied for. Go to the official website and click the ‘Click Here’ link in front of the ‘Syllabus’ option on the home page. A list of all the subjects will appear. Assam SLET 2022 Eligibility

Age Limit

  • There is no upper age limit for the exam.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent from a UGC recognized University/ institute with at least 55% marks (for Unreserved/ General/ General-EWS categories) and at least 50% marks (for OBC Non-Creamy layer/ SC/ ST/ PWD categories).
  • Those who have appeared for the final year exam of the qualifying degree or will be appearing for the same may also appear for the exam. However, such candidates must meet the eligibility conditions on passing the exam.

Note: Ph.D degree holders who have completed their Master’s level examination by 19th September 1991 will be eligible for 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks.

Assam SLET 2022 Application Process

The online application process for the Assam SLET 2022 exam has started on 11th November 2021 and will continue till 28th December 2021. Candidates are advised to submit the application form within the specified time.

  • Scanned image of coloured passport-sized photograph (size 5Kb to 50KB)
  • Scanned image of Signature (size 5Kb to 50KB)
  • Scanned images of attested Master’s degree certificates and mark sheets
  • Attested copies of category certificate

Steps for Filling the SLET 2022 Application Form

  • Visit the official website at https://sletneonline.co.in/.
  • Click on the ‘Apply Now' button.
  • Provide the details asked for such as PG course, subject, exam center, candidate’s name, date of birth, sex, category, father’s name, mother’s name, email, phone number, examination details, upload photograph, signature, accept the declaration, and click the ‘Save & Next' button.
  • After the registration is complete, a unique application number will be generated. Note it down.
  • Download the Challan copy.
  • After two days, deposit the exam fee in any State Bank of India branch.
  • And, after two days of fee submission, take a printout of the submitted application form.

Changes in the exam center will be made through the application. The application must be written on plain paper and must reach the SLET Commission office within seven days of the last date of application submission. The center change fee is ₹ 300/-.

Assam SLET 2022 Admit Card

The admit card for the Assam SLET 2022 exam will be released online. Candidates can download the admit cards using their login credentials. No admit cards will be sent through post to any individual. The admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the exam and must be kept safely even after the exam is over.

Assam SLET 2022 Answer Key

Answer keys for paper-I and paper-II of the SLET 2022 exam will be uploaded on the commission’s official website seven days after the test. Candidates will also be provided with the option to raise objections against the answer key. The facility will remain up to fifteen days from the date of answer key upload. The final answer key will be released along with the result.

Assam SLET 2022 Result

The Assam SLET 2022 result will be uploaded on the official website in the form of scorecards. Candidates can download their results using their login details. As per UGC guidelines, the top 6% of the candidates appearing in the exam will be declared qualified for the post of Assistant Professor. The minimum qualifying marks for the exam are 40% (General and General EWS) and 35% (OBC/ SC/ ST/ PwD/ Third Gender category).

Question 1: Will there be any negative marking in the exam?

No. There will be no negative marking in the exam?

Question 2: Will there be any compensatory time for PwD candidates?

Yes. PwD (with writing disability) category and visually impaired candidates will get 20 minutes of compensatory time in each paper.

Question 3: When will be the SLET certificate issued?

The SLET pass certificate will be issued 45 working days after the result announcement.

Question 4: Do I need to pay any fee for obtaining the eligibility certificate?

Yes. Candidates need to pay ₹ 250 for obtaining the certificate. The fee is to be paid through a Bank Draft.

Question 5: What will be the validity period for the SLET exam certificate?

The certificate will remain valid till lifetime.
