Railway Recruitment 2019 - RRB Group D Exam Recommended Books

The Railway Recruitment Board had announced a total vacancies of 1,03,769 for the Assistant/ Helper posts in different departments of the Indian Railways. As per the official notification, the Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to be conducted in September/ October. The final dates of the RRB Group D exam are not released yet.
There is a tough competition for joining the Indian Railway. So, candidates are advised to prepare for the exam well in advance. The recruitment for Group D posts will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Only those candidates who qualify the CBT are called for the PET. So, here is the list of RRB preparation books (popular among railway aspirants) for the first phase of the recruitment process – Computer Based Test.
Subjects in RRB Group D 2019 Computer Based Test
The Computer Based Test consists of 100 multiple choice questions which have to be completed in 90 minutes duration. Questions are covered from the following areas:
- Mathematics
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Science
- General Awareness on Current Affairs
There will be negative marking in the exam and 1/3rd of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for incorrect answer.
Minimum Qualifying Marks for the Exam
Candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks in the exam in order to become eligible for selection. Category-wise minimum qualifying marks are:
- Unreserved – 40%
- OBC – 30%
- SC – 30%
- ST – 30%
