SSC (Staff Selection Commission) is an attached office with the DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. It is essentially a recruiting agency of the government for selecting and inducting best possible human resources across various posts of Ministries and Departments. It was set up in the year 1975 on the recommendations of the Estimate Committee.

The SSC, one of the most popular commission in the country conducts SSC SI CAPF every year to recruit candidates into the Police force of various institutions of the country. The SSC will organize and conduct the exam for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces). It will also conduct exam for the Post of Assistant Sub-Inspector for CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) across the nation through its seven regional offices and two sub-regional offices. The SSC SI CAPF ,2017 Exam is likely to be held in the month of March, 2017. The aforesaid exam is comprised of several stages. Eligibility for SSC SI CAPF Exam

Nationality – The candidate must be a citizen of India.

The candidate from Bhutan, Nepal, Tibetan refugee (migrated to India before 1st January,1962) and People of Indian Origin are also eligible to appear for the exam provided that they are issued a certificate in their favour by the government of India for their citizenship.

Age Limit – The candidate should be between the age group of 20-25 years. However, there is provision for the age relaxation for the Upper age limit as per the rules of the government for the candidates of the reserved category.

Educational Qualifications-

A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from any recognized University or deemed university under the Section 3 of the UGC act of 1956.

It should be noted that the candidate who are applying for the Delhi Police force should have a valid Driving license issued for the LMV (Licensed Motor Vehicle or Car).

Application Form

The Application form of the SSC SI CAPF,2017 Exam comes in two parts. The Part-1 requires candidates to fill the Registration form and in the Part-2, they are required to pay the Application fee for the exam.

How To Apply

  • The Application form for the SSC SI CAPF,2017 Exam will be available only online. 
  • Candidate should click on the latest news section of the website where they will be able to see the notification for the SSC SI CAPF 2017 Exam. In this section only there will be link of Application form and Registration.
  • Candidates should visit the official website of the Commission. Here they will be provided the directing link which will take them to the Application form.
  • Candidate should get themselves registered and fill the Application form. Before filling it they should first of all download the brochure of instructions for filling the form. They should read it carefully and then only fill the form.
  • They should fill all the necessary columns of the Application form with their personal details and educational qualifications.
  • Before submitting the Application form, candidate should recheck it, in case to correct any error that might have occurred by mistake. After making submission of the form there is no chance to make any corrections of the mistakes or errors.
  • After submitting the Application form it is advised that candidate should take the print copy of it for any future use of it.

Application Fee

  • Candidate is required to pay the Application fee along with the Application form.
  1. General Candidate should pay- Rs.100/.
  2. Reserved category candidates, OBC, SC/ST and Female candidates are exempted from paying any fee. They are not required to pay any Application fee to the commission.
  • The Application fee can be paid Online through the Net-Banking, through the Credit Card and Debit Card. By Cash also it can be deposited in any bank branch of SBI through Bank Challan. 

SSC SI CAPF Exam Pattern (Syllabus)

The candidates are required to clear the various stages of the exam to get selected by the commission. There are four stages of the exam. The exam comprises of the Written test, Physical test, Personality Interview and the Medical test. The commission sets the criteria of minimum qualifying marks and standards for the various stages of the exam. It is the discretion of the commission to set or change the criteria of selection of the candidates.

Stage -1 Written Exam – The written exam consists of Paper-1 and Paper-2. The candidate should take up the Paper-1 written test first. Then the qualified candidates are selected for the 2nd stage of the exam i.e. the PET/PST exam.

Stage -2 PET/PST Exam

Candidates who qualify in the Paper-1 of the exam are called for the next stage of the exam i.e. the Physical Endurance Test (Physical Endurance Test)/PST or the Medical test. They are also required to appear for the Paper-2 of the exam.

Note – The Paper-2 of the Written exam of only those candidates are evaluated who qualifies in the PET/PST and the Medical test.

Stage-3 Personality Test

In this stage of the exam, candidates who qualify in the Paper-2 of the exam beside qualifying in the Paper-1 and the PET/PST and the Medical test of the exam are called for the Personality Test of the exam. The Personality test is of 100 marks. The final merit list of the candidates is prepared on the aggregate marks of Paper-1, Paper-2 and the Personality test.  

Stage-4 Medical Exam

Candidates who qualify in the PET exam are further required to appear for the Medical examination by the Medical officer of the CAPF or any other Medical officer.

The final merit list of the successful candidates is prepared on the basis of their score in the Paper-1, Paper-2 and the personality test of the candidate.

Admit Card SSC SI CAPF,2017 Exam

The candidates are issued Admit card through the official website of the commission. They should download their Admit card online. Candidates can check for their Admit card on the regional centre of the commission. The commission never send any hard copy of the Admit Card on the address of the candidate. Thus they should remain vigilant and keep checking the official website of the commission for the issuance of the Admit card before the schedule of the exam.

Cut-Off Marks SSC SI CAPF,2017 Exam

The commission set the minimum qualifying criteria for every stage of the exam. For Paper-1 and Paper-2 of the exam have a different qualifying marks or the cut-off marks for the female candidates and the reserved category of candidates, set by the commission. The candidate should check for the cut-off marks as per their category.

Commission determines the cut-off marks as per the number of vacancies in the given year and the number of candidates which have applied for the exam.
