PTE 2022 Important Dates
The exam dates are available throughout the year, and candidates can choose the slot at their convenience. However, here are some tips for choosing the exam date:
- During the high season, the test slots fill up really quickly. So, it is advised to do test slot booking well in advance.
- Check the test date availability well in advance and complete the registration process before the deadline.
- After the registration is complete, an email will be sent to the candidate five days before the exam mentioning the information of the exam and exam venue.
PTE 2022 Pattern & Syllabus
The exam aims to test the candidate’s knowledge of the English language. By clearing the exam, students assure their skills of understanding the language. Here is the pattern for the exam.

Scoring is based on the Global Scale of English. The exam is scored on a scale of 10 to 90, 10 being the lowest.
PTE 2022 Eligibility
Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions before appearing for the exam.
Age Limit
The minimum age limit for the exam is 16 years. There is no maximum age limit. Candidates who are below the age of 18 years are required to provide their parental consent. The form for the same can be downloaded from the official website.
Educational Qualification
There is no such educational requirement for the PTE exam as per the exam conducting authority. However, it is advised to check the eligibility criteria with the university and course you are interested in.
PTE 2022 Application Process
As mentioned above, candidates can register for the PTE exam throughout the year. The registration needs to be done online through the official website. On registration, candidates will have a PTE account through which they can keep a track of their tests and scores. Here is the detailed process for registration.
Steps for PTE Registration
- Visit the official website at https://pearsonpte.com.
- Click on the ‘Sign in’ button on the top.
- A window will pop, click on the ‘Sign in’ button again.
- Now, click on the ‘Sign up’ button for new registration.
- Enter your email ID, username, and password and click the ‘Continue’ button.
- Complete the registration process.
Steps for Slot Booking
Once the registration is complete, candidates can access their PTE account anytime to complete the slot booking process.
- After the registration is complete, sign in with your username and password.
- Complete your profile by providing details such as personal information (as on the passport), test preference, exam history, and more.
- Schedule your exam by selecting the PTE center of your preference.
- Select the exam date of your choice.
- Review all the information carefully before moving to the fee payment option. If you want to make changes to the exam date or center, you can do it before fee payment without any cost. After this, you need to pay an additional cost for making changes.
- Take a print of the acknowledgment receipt after successful fee payment.
PTE Application Fee
The application fee for the PTE exam is ₹ 14,700. There is no concession in the fee for any candidate. The fee payment is to be done through online mode.

PTE 2022 Result and Scores
PTE result is declared within five days of the test date. Candidates are first intimated about the result via an email message where instructions are provided for accessing the result. Candidates can access their scores online via their Pearson (PTE) account. The score can then be shared with colleges and universities of your choice through your account only.
