Direct Admission to Diploma in Elementry Education (D.El.Ed.) programme fro the academic session 2019-20 will begin from today i.e. 12th September 2019 and will continue till 16th September 2019. The regular admission process for the course got over on 30th August and a total of 1 lakh seats in different colleges across the state are still lying vacant, as told by an official. A total of 1,04,728 seats (out of 2,29,150 seats) were lying vacant till the last date fo admission i.e. 30th August 2019.
The exam conducting authority had sent a proposal to the state government for direct admission after various private institutions raised the issue of filing to secure admissions to their D.El.Ed. courses after the cut-off date, as per the sources at the examination conducting authority. As per further information, in the District Institute of Education and Training (DIETs), a total of 1,24,422 admissions were done and most of the seats are full. However, in private colleges, approximately 46% of the seats are vacant. The private colleges are in worry as many are even at the verge of closure (if seats remain vacant).
The official further added; “These colleges had been requesting that in light of the vast number of vacant seats, the government should allow direct admissions.”
Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, Secretary of Examination Regulatory Authority, said that this move would offer an opportunity to candidates who were not able to take admission till the last date. He further added that the authority is waiting for a nod from the state government.
Candidates who are willing to take admission in D.El. Ed. programme must visit the NIC (National Informatics Centre) official website. Check out the options for available colleges and move ahead with the admission process.
Colleges need to provide information about each day’s admissions to the Examination Regulatory Authority. A complete report related to the same should be submitted by the colleges by 17th September 2019.
The classes for the D.El.Ed. programme 2019-20 has already started on 6th August. For all those candidates who take admission now, extra classes will be conducted to cover the course.
