TNEA 2020 Result - Cut-off, Merit List, Counselling, Admission Process

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) are done on the basis of class 12th marks in subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The marks are reduced to 200 viz. Mathematics: 100 and Physics + Chemistry: 100. The admission process is conducted by Anna University for admission to UG engineering courses (B.E./ B.Tech.) in government, government-aided, and self-financing colleges across the state. So, there is no entrance exam conducted for the admission. Now, here in the article, we will be discussing the selection procedure, cut-off, merit list, counselling, etc. for the TENA 2020 result.

TNEA 2020 Admission Process

As discussed above, no entrance exam is conducted and the admission is done on the basis of class 12th marks. Here are the events for the TNEA 2020 admission:

TNEA 2020 Cut-Off

After the registration process gets over, the cut-off list will be released by the University. Separate cut-off marks will be released for different colleges and different programmes. Candidates are required to qualify the minimum cut-off of the particular institute for getting admission to B.Tech courses.

TNEA 2020 Merit List

TNEA 2020 merit list will be uploaded at the official website in the third week of June 2020. The overall rank and community rank will also be released at the official website. Only those candidates who make it to the merit list are eligible for appearing in the counselling process.

TNEA 2020 Counselling

The counselling process is done on the basis of the merit list. The TNEA 2020 counselling is scheduled to begin from the first week of July 2020. Candidates are required to download the call letters before appearing for the counselling. The counselling process is conducted in five rounds. Candidates must choose the preferred college in counselling round. Candidates must carry the required documents for the document verification process at the allotted college.

TNEA 2020 Admission

The colleges are allotted during the counselling process based on ranks. And, candidates are required to report at the allotted college on the date and time mentioned in the allotment letter.  Complete the admission process by paying the admission fee.
