About the Cyclone Titli

The state government has issued red alert across the state on 10th October due to the intense cyclonic storm, Titli, which was moving towards the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh coast. The cyclone was caused as a result of deep depression over the Bay of Bengal.

The director of the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, H R Biswas, said; Titli is very likely to intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm during the next 24 hours. It is likely to move northwestwards from tonight and cross Odisha and adjoining north Andhra Pradesh coasts between Gopalpur and Kalingapatnam around Thursday.”

Aspirants who have reached Bhubaneswar are of the opinion that it is an understandable situation but necessary arrangements should have been made for their home returning.
