NEET 2018 Merit List To Be Used In Veterinary Colleges For All India Quota Seats

The Merit list of NEET (UG) 2018 will be used for allocation of seats under 15% All India quota in the recognized veterinary colleges for admission to Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) degree courses during 2018-19.

March, 1^st’ 2018: The latest development with the NEET or National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG), 2018 is; the merit list of NEET UG 2018 will be used for admission in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) degree courses under 15% All India Quota.

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) or NEET – UG is the entrance exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.

The CBSE is the only examination conducting body, which is liable to conduct the NEET-UG entrance examination 2018 exam, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Directorate General Health Services, Government of India and state/other Counselling Authorities for further Counselling.

The Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India’ official statement says; “All those students desirous to take admission to B.V.Sc & A.H. Degree Courses under 15% seats on All India Basis are hereby advised to appear in NEET (UG) 2018 to be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 6th May, 2018.”

The Veterinary Council of India disclosed in its public notice referring the official letter dated 22^nd February’ 2018 issued by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India that NEET 2018 qualified merit list will be used for admission into B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree course during the academic year 2018-19 for filling up seats in recognized Veterinary Colleges (excluding Jammu & Kashmir) under the applicable 15% All India Quota. The rest of the criteria for admission into B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree courses will be same as per the Veterinary Council of India.
