NEET 2018 Exam – Tentative Counselling Schedule as Released by MCC

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test result on 4th June 2018. The next phase of this esteemed medical entrance exam is counselling process. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the NEET counselling. MCC has released the tentative schedule for online counselling process at the official website on 08 June 2018. The committee will be conducting the online counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed and Central Universities from 13th June 2018. Here is the complete NEET counselling Schedule.

NEET 2018 Counselling

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will be conducting the NEET 2018 counselling on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to:

  • 15% of AIQ seats in government medical and dental colleges in all states except J&K.
  • 100% seats in Deemed and Central universities.
  • Seats reserved for wards of Insured Person (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges
  • Seats in the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune

The last date to register at the official website and make choices is 18 June (05:00 PM). The final choice filling and locking can be done till 19 June (between 10:00 AM and 05:00 PM.) The result of NEET first round seat allotment will be declared on 22 June. Candidates are required to report at their allotted colleges between 23rd June and 3rd July 2018. The second round of the counselling would be held between 6th and 22nd July. Mop up counselling round will also be conducted exclusively for Deemed and Central Universities.

NEET 2018 counselling for the remaining 85% state quota seats (100% for J&K) will be conducted by the respective state counselling authorities. Candidates are required to register separately for state counselling process. Check out the counselling schedule for NEET 2018 Online Counselling.

Transfer of vacant AIQ seats to states

After the second round of counselling, vacant seats will be transferred to State Quota (only for 15% AIQ. Mop-up counselling round will also be conducted. Here are the details on mop-up round counselling (in continuation of the above counselling procedure.)
