CBSE Re-Opened the Online Form Correction Window for NEET UG 2018

CBSE has re-opened the form correction facility for NEET UG 2018. The last date for making corrections is 18 May.

17 May 2018: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has re-opened the online correction window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 after the exam for the first time. Candidates can make correction through candidate’s login portal on the official website. The NEET 2018 exam was conducted by the CBSE on 6th May 2018. The result of the exam is scheduled to be released on 5th June 2018.

Steps to make Correction in NEET 2018 Form

  • Go to the official website.
  • Click on ‘Online Correction’ option under ‘Online Services’ section.
  • Login with your registration number and password
  • Make corrections and save changes.

Candidates can make corrections in their NEET 2018 form till 18 May 2018 (05:00 PM).

Details that can be corrected

As per the official notification, “On request of the candidates, the correction facility in the following field is allowed to ensure that no correction will be allowed after the declaration of result of NEET (UG) 2018:

  1. Date of Birth
  2. Category of the Candidate
  3. Status of Persons with Disability

Additional fee needs to be paid in case of the correction in the category, if applicable. However, no fee will be refunded by the CBSE.”

Further, the notice states, “In no manner, correction will be allowed after the declaration of result.”

About CBSE NEET UG 2018

A total of 13,26,725 candidates have appeared for this year’s NEET exam which was conducted at 2,255 exam centres across the country. Out of these, 5,80,648 applicants are male, 7,46,076 are female, and 1 is transgender. The exam was conducted in 11 languages – Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

NEET UG exam is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by Medical and Dental Colleges affiliated to Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
