RIE CEE 2020: Application Process Extended Till May 30, Check Details

The online registration window for NCERT RIE CEE 2020 is extended till 30th May 2020. New exam dates will be out soon.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) have decided to extend the application deadline for the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for teacher education programs in various Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs). As per the new schedule, the last date to submit RIE CEE 2020 application from has been shifted from 04th May to 30th May 2020, due to the extension of COVID-19 Lockdown in India.

The NCERT RIE CEE 2020 registration link has been launched on 06th April and continues till 30th May 2020. By successfully enrolled for RIE CEE 2020 exam, potential candidates will secure admission to the teacher education programs, which includes BSc B Ed (4 years), BA BEd (4 year), MSc Ed (6 year), BEd(2 year), and MEd (2 year). NCERT RIE CEE 2020: Important Dates

Candidates, who wish to apply for the RIE CEE 2020 exam, can do it so by visiting the official website, which is cee.ncert.gov.in. The application process was started on 06th April and will close on 30th May 2020. On the other hand the entrance test for NCERT CEE 2020 was going to be held on 24th May has also been postponed. The new dates of RIE CEE 2020 will be announced after the completion of lockdown situation.

Selected students will undergo for the RIE CEE Counselling 2020, which will be done by the respective Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) as per the eligibility of the course and the norms of the Institute.

NCERT CEE 2020 Eligibility

RIE CEE 2020 offers different courses pertaining different eligibility criteria:

BSc B Ed (4 years)

Class 12th or Equivalent in Science (PCM/PCB) with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates)

BA BEd (4 year)

Class 12th or Equivalent in Science/Commerce/Arts with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates)

MSc Ed (6 year)

Candidates completed bachelors in Science and Mathematics (PCM) with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates).

BEd(2 year)

Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Science/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Social Science/Humanities are eligible for admission to the programme (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates)

MEd (2 year)

Must have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PwD Candidates) in B.Ed. / B.A.Ed./ B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed./B.El.Ed./D.El.Ed. (with bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science)

How to Apply for RIE CEE 2020 Application Process?

Through NCERT RIE CEE, students would be admitted to RIE Ajmer, RIE Bhopal, RIE Mysuru, RIE Bhubaneswar, NERIE Shillong, and Prarambh School for Teacher Education Jhajjar, Haryana.

To fill up the online form of Common Entrance Examination (CEE), participants needs to follow these steps:

  • Open the official website link of RIE CEE 2020 at cee.ncert.gov.in.
  • Now, click on the registration link and complete the registration procedure.
  • Re-login to the application portal through created user id and password at the time of registration and start filling the application form.
  • Enter basic details and make fee payment.
  • Now, upload all the relevant document images and confirm the application by submitting it to the officials.

NCERT RIE CEE 2020 Application Fee

The fee structure for the exam is as follows:

  1. General/ OBC candidates – ₹ 1000
  2. SC/ ST/ PWD candidates – ₹ 500

The payment mode is online through Debit/ Credit / Net-Banking, and Wallet mode only.
