The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala has released its first phase allotment for KEAM 2020 exam on Wednesday, 07th October 2020, at 9 pm on its official website. Candidates who have registered for the seat allotment process will be able to check the first phase allotment results for KEAM 2020 exam online.

The CEE on 04th October 2020 released the trial allotment and candidates were given time to add and arrange the course-college options till 06th October 2020. Candidates can now check their KEAM rank list 2020 online. The rank lists of KEAM 2020 have been published on the official website of the CEE. To check their KEAM 2020 rank list, candidates are required to login to the official website and enter their roll number and other requisite credentials to check their rank lists.

Earlier on 09th September 2020, the Office of the Controller of Examinations (CEE) Kerala had announced the results of the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Entrance Exam 2020. Candidates appeared for the exam can check their KEAM 2020 Result by accessing the official login portal. It’s time for the aspirants to check the outcome of their hard work in the form of KEAM Rank Cards. The KEAM 2020 examination was conducted on 16th July 2020, at 342 examination centres spread across Kerala, Mumbai, Delhi and Dubai.

KEAM Seat Allotment 2020

KEAM seat allotment process will commence along with the exam counselling process in online mode. KEAM seat allotment process will be based on the candidate’s score in KEAM 2020. CEE releases an exam merit/rank list carrying the names of qualified candidates. Candidates whose names are mentioned in the KEAM rank list will be able to participate in the KEAM counselling 2020 and seat allotment process. Candidates will have to register for KEAM seat allotment to participate in the process. An allotment memo will also be generated for the selected candidates. The memo will comprise details such as candidate’s name, roll number, allotted course & college, the category of allotment and fee details among others.

Steps to check the KEAM 2020 Seat Allotment list Phase 1

  • Visit the official website of Admission to Professional Degree Courses.
  • Click on the KEAM 2020 Phase 1 Seat Allotment list link.
  • Enter the details in the login.
  • Download the KEAM 2020 allotment list for further reference.

The candidates who will be allotted seats in the KEAM 2020 Phase 1 seat allotment will be required to confirm the admissions by submitting a fee of ₹ 10,000. The admissions will be confirmed only after the Allotment fee payment is completed.

The KEAM 2020 seat allotment process will be conducted in three phases based on the number of seats available for each of the programmes. In case the candidates are unable to attend the college or course allotted, the allotment will be cancelled.

KEAM Rank List 2020 Released –

The KEAM 2020 rank list is prepared by giving equal weightage to marks obtained by the candidates in the Engineering entrance test (Paper I and Paper II combined) and the marks/grade obtained in the subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry in the final year of the qualifying exam, i.e., Plus Two or equivalent.

Candidates who had appeared for the Engineering Entrance Examination were required to submit their scores of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry obtained in Plus Two on the official website of CEE - ceekerala.gov.in. In order to enter the qualified marks candidates needed to login with their application number for KEAM 2020 and password, and then click on ‘Marks Submission for Engg’. For candidates who had not studied Chemistry on Plus Two or equivalent, marks obtained in Computer Science/Biotechnology will be considered for KEAM 2020 rank list.

KEAM Result 2020 – Official Result Notice Out

A notice regarding the announced KEAM result 2020 has been uploaded on the controller’s official website. The notice says, “Of the 71742 students appeared for both the papers of the Engineering Entrance Examination, 56599 students have qualified under Engineering Stream and of the 52145 students opted Pharmacy course and appeared for Paper I, 44390 students have qualified under Pharmacy stream.”

In addition, “Those candidates who have qualified in the Engineering Entrance Examination will have to submit/verify the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination (Plus Two or equivalent) for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology in order to prepare the Engineering rank list 2020. The facility for submission/verification of marks online is available in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in up to 10th September 2020.”

The KEAM 2020 Result Scorecard has been published online on the official website i.e. cee.kerala.gov.in. In order to ensure that candidates do not face any issues while checking or download KEAM Result 2020, a detailed step-wise procedure has been listed below:

  • Input your application number, password, and access code.

With the availability of KEAM 2020 result downloading link, the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) will also release the KEAM 2020 rank list shortly on the official website. CEE will publish the KEAM rank list for different courses separately. On the basis of this rank list, candidates will be called to attend KEAM 2020 counselling. While preparing the rank list, equal weightage will be given to marks obtained in the entrance exam and aggregate marks in 10+2 exam.

As per the media reports, KEAM counselling 2020 will be conducted in the online mode through the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) in the third week of September 2020 (tentatively). KEAM 2020 counselling will be conducted with the assistance of the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

KEAM Result (Out) – What’s The Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case there is a tie between two or more qualified candidates, the following tie-breaker will be followed:

  1. A candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will be given preferences.
  2. In case the tie persists, candidates with a higher score in Physics will be given preferences.
  3. If there is still a tie, then candidates with higher marks in Class 12 Mathematics will be preferred.
  4. Even then if the above tie-breaker doesn’t satisfy, then the candidate with higher marks in Class 12 Physics will be considered.
  5. If none of the above works, then a candidate who is older in age will be ranked higher in KEAM Result 2020.
