KCET 2018 result declared on the official website. Candidates can check the steps to download the same.
01 June 2018: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2018 results today. Candidates can check the result on the official website of the exam conducting authority - http://kea.kar.nic.in/. Generally, the higher education minister announces the KCET result; however, in absence of the minister, the government allowed the additional chief secretary of the department of medical education and principal secretary of the department of higher education to announce the result.
Steps to check KCET result 2018
- Visit the official website - http://kea.kar.nic.in/
- Click on ‘Results Link-1:’ under ‘CET-2018 Results’
- Now, click on ‘CTET Results announced on 01/06/2018’ link.
- Enter your registration number, write the captcha, and click on ‘Submit’ button.
- Your result will appear on the screen.
- Download and take a print out.

This year, the KCET exam was conducted on 18th and 19th April. Kannada language test was conducted on 20 April which was applicable only for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. The test was conducted only in Bangalore.
Shridhar Dodamani has topped the KCET 2018 followed by Narayan Pai. Anneta Jame topped the exam among girls and holds the fifth rank in the exam.
The examination authority will conduct the counselling and seat allotment process on the basis of a candidate’s score and rank. The verification of the documents will begin from 5th June at 16 centres across the state. Both KEA and Directorate of Medical Education will integrate the counselling process so that both the medical and engineering students have adequate options.
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority for admission to various engineering, technology, pharmacy courses offered by colleges in Karnataka state. Earlier, medical courses were also covered under the purview of the KCET exam. But, after the introduction of NEET, medical and dental admissions are done on the basis of NEET score.
