25 May 2019: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2019 results today. Candidates can check the result on the official website of the exam conducting authority - http://kea.kar.nic.in/. The KCET result 2019 was announced by the Karnataka Higher Education Minister D.T. Deve Gowda in a press conference at 11 AM. However, the link to check the result on the official website was activated later.
“CET will be conducted online from 2020 onwards. Talks are on with the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the same,” said Mr. D.T. Deve Gowda.
Steps to Check KCET Result 2019
- Visit the official website - http://kea.kar.nic.in/
- Click on the ‘CET-2019 - Results’ link.
- Now, click on ‘CTET Results announced on 25th May 2019’ link.
- Enter your registration number and click on ‘Submit’ button.
- Your result will appear on the screen.
- Download and take a print out.
Separate final answer keys for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology are also available at the official website.

This year, the KCET exam was conducted on 29th and 30th April 2019. The Kannada language test was conducted on 1st May which was applicable only for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. The test was conducted only in Bangalore. The exam dates were revised. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on 23rd, 24th, and 25th April 2019.
A total of 1,40,957 candidates have qualified CET 2019 for Engineering and Technology courses, 1,18,045 for Veterinary Sciences programmes, 1,13,294 for Agriculture courses, 1,46,546 for Pharmacy, and 1,17,947 for Naturopathy.
KCET Exam Toppers 2019 -
Jeffin Biju from Sri Chaitanya Techno PU College, Marathahalli has topped the KCET 2019 engineering ranking.
Mahesh Anand from the same institute has topped in both Naturopathy & Yogic Science, and B.Sc. Veterinary Science.
Keerthana M Arun from NPS Rajajinagar has topped in Agriculture.
Sai Saketika Chekuri has topped in Pharmacy.
KCET Counselling 2019
The examination authority will conduct the counselling and seat allotment process on the basis of a candidate’s score and rank. Both KEA and Directorate of Medical Education will integrate the counselling process so that both the medical and engineering students have adequate options. The KCET 2019 counselling process will tentatively begin from 10th June 2019. The official counselling schedule will be released soon. Keep a check on the official website for the same.
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority for admission to various engineering, technology, pharmacy courses offered by colleges in Karnataka state. Earlier, medical courses were also covered under the purview of the KCET exam. But, after the introduction of NEET, medical and dental admissions are done on the basis of NEET score.
