Various steps involved in the counselling process
Registration: It is the first process, where candidates need to register themselves online for taking part in the counselling. There is no fee for registration and choice filling.
Choice Filling and Locking: It is the second consecutive process after registration. For this, candidates need to log in using their JEE Main 2018 roll number & password. After that, they need to fill choices according to their preference for seat allocation. What they need to do is to lock their choices after they have filled their choices. In case they forget to lock their choices, then under this case, their choices will get locked automatically.
Provisional Seat Allotment: Candidates with the allocated seat can download their “Provisional Seat Allotment letter” and e-Challan. They will use the e-Challan for paying seat acceptance fee.
