IIT JAM 2018 Results Declared: Check out Result and Admission Procedure

20 March 2018: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has released the results of the Joint Admission test for M.Sc. (JAM) 2018. Candidates can check the result on JOAPS portal. As per the notice running on the home page of the official website;

“Candidates can view their JAM 2018 Results after logging on to the JOAPS Portal from 20 March, 2018.”

JAM is conducted for admission to M.Sc. (Two Years), M.Sc.-PH.D. dual degree,  Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., and other post-bachelor degree courses offered by IITs and Integrated Ph.D. degree programmes offered by IISc. The JAM 2018 online exam was conducted on 11 February 2018 (Sunday) in two sessions.

Steps to check the IIT JAM 2018 Results

• Go to the official website of IIT Bombay.
• On the home page, click on the link “Candidates can view their JAM 2018 Results after logging on to the JOAPS Portal from 20 March, 2018.”
• You will be redirected to JOAPS portal. Log in with your details and check the result.
• You can download the result and take a print out.

The IIT JAM 2018 score cards for qualified students will be available for download from 27 March to 31 July 2018. It included the All India Rank and Marks obtained by the candidate in the exam.

Admission Procedure

Only those who qualify JAM can apply for admission. Candidates have to apply online through the Admission Form available at JAM 2018 website. Admission forms will be available from 03 April and the last date for submission will be 17 April 2018.

Candidates should note that if the admission form is found to be incomplete in any way (including payment of processing fee), it will be rejected and the candidate will not be considered for admission. Also, candidates will be considered for admission to only those programmes which they have provided in the admission form.

On the basis of preferences entered by the candidates and their ranks, the first admission list for each programme covered under JAM 2018 will be published on 22 May 2018 on the official website. If seats remain vacant, a Second Admission list will be released on 12 June 2018 followed by a third and final admission list that will be announced on 29 June 2018. Candidates must keep a check on the official website.
