HTET 2019 Exam Registration Begins - Steps to Apply and Documents Requirement

The Board of School Education Haryana has started the online registration process for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET). The registration process has started on 7th October 2019 at the official website. Interested candidates must register for the exam till 18th October 2019. Qualifying HTET is one of the required eligibility for appointment as a teacher in schools recognised by the Department of School Education, Haryana.

As per the official notification released earlier, the HTET 2019 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 16th and 17th November 2019. The notification released by BSEH comprises only the exam dates. There was no information on the application dates. However, now the official application dates are released.

HTET is a state-level teacher eligibility test conducted for ensuring the suitability of candidates for various government/ private teaching jobs in the state. Candidates who have B.El.Ed./ B.ED./DEE degree is eligible to apply for the exam. On qualifying the exam, candidates become eligible for teaching elementary, secondary, and senior secondary level classes.

Steps to Apply for HTETE 2019

Follow the steps provided here to complete the application process:

  • Visit the official website - http://htetonline.com.
  • Click on the link ‘Apply Online for HTETE- 2019’
  • Read the instructions and click on the ‘Read & Continue’ button.
  • Click on the ‘PROCEED TO APPLY ONLINE’ button.
  • Follow the registration process and complete the application by providing personal, educational, and other details.
  • Upload the scanned images of your photograph, thumb impression, and signature. All images must be in JPG format.
  • Make fee payment and submit the form.
  • Take a print of the confirmation page.

HTET 2019 Exam Pattern

HTET is a single paper exam which comprises of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The exam is of total two and a half hours duration. Each question carries one marks. The question paper is prepared by the Department of School Education, Government of Haryana. The question paper will differ for all three levels.

Qualifying Criteria

Candidates need to secure the minimum marks in order to qualify the exam. The marks are:

  • For SC category candidates - 55% (83 marks out of 150)
  • For all other categories - 60% (90 marks out of 150)

HTET 2018 Result Facts

The HTET 2018 examination was conducted on 5th and 6th January 2019. The exam was earlier scheduled to be conducted on 22nd and 23rd December 2018; however, was postponed due to other exams scheduled on the same dates. A total of 3,32,366 candidates had appeared in the HTET 2018 exam. Out of which, 14,934 candidates had qualified the exam. The pass percentage of female candidates was 3.8% (8,766 out of 2,31,885) and that of male candidates was 6.1% (6,168 out of 1,00,478 male candidates).
