Delhi University Admission 2020: Applications are Invited for Both UG and PG Courses

Candidates can apply online for DU Admission 2020 via online portal. The DUET entrance exam for UG, PG courses will be held in August.

The University of Delhi has activated its admission process link on Saturday 20^th June 2020. Interested students can submit their application forms for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the coming academic session by visiting the official website, du.ac.in. as per the officials, within 2 days, over 1.04 lakh students have registered for DU Admission 2020 and fill the application form. In addition, most of the applications have been received by UG courses with 76,855 students.

One must note that, the DU admission process will be closed on 04^th July 2020. So, candidates are advised don’t wait for last date and submit their applications now to avoid last minute rush.

DU Admission 2020: Know About Application Process

This time, the entire process of DU UG, PG Admission 2020 will be held online and in a ‘contact-less’ manner. This initiative has been used to avoid any direct contact with students, as the number of COVID-19 cases increasing rapidly day-by-day. The university is also talking to some other external agencies to conduct authentic document verification online, that means students won’t need to visit the university. DU is not going to hold any sports trials for admissions, as its usual process to avoid any form of gathering in the university.

Admissions to over 64,000 seats will be completed based on the candidates merit score in class 12, while some of the admissions will be done through entrance exam called DUET. The exam is conducted under the guidance of the National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2019, for several courses including BMS, BBA, BTech, BElEd, BA MMC among others.

How to Fill DU Admission Application Form 2020?

1. Visit the official website of Delhi University.
2. Click on “New applicant sign up” link and then go to “New registration”.
3. Fill the basic details to complete registration.
4. After registration, you will get a confirmation message on your registered email id or number.
5. Head-back to the login page and enter user id and password.
6. Complete the DU Application form and upload all the asked documents including – passport size photograph and signature.
7. Now, pay the application fee via online mode.

• For UG Courses (Based on Merit) – ₹ 150 for UR/OBC candidates, ₹ 100 for ECA/Sports candidates, and ₹ 75 for SC/ST candidates.
•  For PG and UG Courses (Entrance Test Based) – ₹ 500 for UR/OBC candidates, and ₹ 250 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

• The candidates with a minimum of 50 % marks in the Bachelor’s programme can apply for the entrance examination. For category-wise minimum marks requirement, please check the official notification.

• Other undergraduate courses that will enrol students based on entrance exams are BA (hons) Business Economics, BMS, BBA financial investment analysis, BTech (IT and mathematical innovations), BA humanities and social science, Bachelor of Elementary Education, BSc physical education, and sports, BA (honours).
