Applications Invited for Indian Navy Pilot, Observer and ATC SSC Officers: Online Registration to Begin from 18 February

Applications are invited by the Indian Navy for Navy Pilot, Observer and ATC Entry for Short Service Commission (SSC). The application process will begin from 18 February.

Indian Navy has invited applications for Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in Pilot, Observer, and ATC entry for the course to begin from January 2019 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala. Applications are invited from the unmarried male and female candidates provided they fulfill the eligibility conditions. The online application process will begin from 18 February till 4 March on the Indian Navy recruitment website.

Eligibility

Educational Qualification

Candidates who have passed (or appearing in final year) Engineering degree (any discipline) from a recognised university with at least 60% marks till 5th/7th semester are eligible. In addition, for ATC entry, the candidates must have 60% aggregate marks in class X and XII and minimum 60% marks in English subject in class XII.

Candidates holding current and valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA (India) and born between 02 January 1994 and 01 January 2000 (both dates inclusive) can apply for Pilot entry.

Duration of Short Service Commission

As per the official notification, Short Service Commission (SSC) for Pilot and Observer Entry is granted for 14 years. And, for Air Traffic Controller (ATC) it will be granted for 10 years initially which will be extendable by maximum 4 years in 2 terms i.e. 2 years + 2 years. The extendibility will be subject to vacancies, subject requirements, performance, medical fitness and willingness of the candidate.

Please Note: No extension will be provided beyond 14 years to officers selected under this scheme. They will not be eligible for Permanent Commission.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be short-listed for SSB interviews scheduled to be conducted from 18 May to 18 July 2018.
