UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam or UP Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) (UPJEE (P)) is also known as Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP). It is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council (Sanyukt Pravesh Pariksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh). Candidates interested in getting admission to Diploma/Post Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma courses in Technology, Engineering, and Management can appear for the exam. Admission is offered in 1296 Polytechnic and other institutes affiliated to the Board of Technical Education., U.P for 67 different courses. UP Polytechnic 2021 Pattern & Syllabus

Here are the details on the UP Polytechnic exam pattern:

  • Mode of Examination: The exam is conducted in the offline mode for Group A (Engineering/ Technology courses) and in Computer Based Mode for other courses.
  • Type of Questions: Objective type questions are asked in the exam.
  • Number of Questions: Each group has only one paper with 100 questions.
  • The language of Question Paper: All question papers will be in two languages – Hindi and English.

UP Polytechnic 2021 Eligibility

Age Limit

The minimum age limit of the applicant should be 14 years as on 1st July of the year of examination. If the exam is being conducted in the year 2021, the minimum age of the candidate should be 14 years as on 1st July 2021.

State Eligibility

Candidates of UP domicile will be given preference over non-UP domicile candidates. A UP domicile candidate is the one who meets any one of the following conditions:

  • Parents have UP domicile.
  • Candidates have passed the qualifying exam from UP.
  • Any of the parents is an employee of the Central Government and is posted in UP.

UP Polytechnic 2021 Application Process

The application window for JEECUP 2021 is open from 26th February 2021 and will remain active till 30th July 2021. Interested candidates can visit the official website for completing the application process. Here are the steps:

How to Apply for UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2021?

  • Candidates can apply for the exam online through the official website - https://jeecup.nic.in.
  • Go to the website and click on the “Apply” link.
  • Register for the exam, you will receive an ID and password.
  • Log in with the registered ID and password and complete the application form. Details such as the Aadhaar number, parents’ name, DOB, gender, category, contact details, qualification details, etc. are asked in the application form.
  • Candidates are also required to upload scanned images of their photograph and signature.
  • Make application fee payment to complete the process.
  • You can take a printout of the filled-in application form for future references.

JEE UP Polytechnic Application Fee

The application fee amount is to be paid as per the category of the candidate. Fee details are mentioned below:

  • General and OBC - ₹ 300/-
  • SC and ST - ₹ 200/-

The fee can be paid through both offline (e-challan) and online (net banking/credit card/debit card) mode.

JEECUP 2021 Admit Card

  • The admit card for the UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2021 exam can be downloaded from the official website from the first week of August 2021.
  • Candidates can download the admit cards using their log-in details.

JEECUP 2021 Answer Key

The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh will release the JEECUP Answer Key 2021 on the official website. Candidates must note that the exam answer key will be released for Groups B, D, E, F, G H, I, and K1 to K8 Test. UPJEE 2021 answer key will be available for download via the official website i.e. jeecup.nic.in. For downloading the JEECUP 2021 answer key, follow the simple steps:

  1. Visit the official website i.e. jeecup.nic.in.
  2. Scroll down to the notification section.
  3. Click on “Online Examinations Answer Key and Challenge Link”.
  4. You will be redirected to a new page for log-in.
  5. Enter your application number and roll number.
  6. Verify all the details and click on the ‘login’ button.
  7. JEECUP 2021 Answer Key will be displayed on the screen.
  8. Download the answer key in PDF format and use it to calculate your estimated score.

UP JEE Polytechnic 2021 Exam Result

  • JEECUP 2021 result for the entrance exam will be released tentatively in August 2021.
  • Candidates can check the result online.
  • Qualified candidates are required to take part in the online UPJEE (Polytechnic) counselling process.

JEECUP Counselling 2021

  • The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) will conduct the counselling for the UPJEE 2021 exam.
  • Those who have cleared the state-level engineering entrance exam are required to register for counselling at jeecup.nic.in and provide/lock their choices for colleges.
  • Students who wish to accept the seat allotted can freeze it by paying a fee of ₹ 3000.
  • There is also an option of not accepting the seat allotted or float it and wait for the next round of counselling.
  • Those who accept the seats will have to appear for the document verification round at the allotted institute.
  • The JEECUP counselling schedule will be released later.
  • The counselling is conducted in three rounds and an open round of counselling (if the seats remain vacant).
  • The result of the seat allotment rounds is published online.
