UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam or UP Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) (UPJEE (P)) is also known as Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP). It is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council (Sanyukt Pravesh Pariksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh). Candidates interested in getting admission to Diploma/Post Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma courses in Technology, Engineering, and Management can appear for the exam. Admission is offered in 1296 Polytechnic and other institutes affiliated to the Board of Technical Education., U.P for 67 different courses.

UP JEE Polytechnic Latest Update - The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh postpone the UPJEE 2020 examination once again and announced the new dates of the exam schedule. As per the new released schedule, the UPJEE (Polytechnic) exam 2020 has now been scheduled to conduct on 12th September and 15th September 2020. The eligibility tests for the Group A, Group E1 and Group E2 will be performed on 12th September 2020 in all the districts of the state. While the eligibility test for Group B,C, D, F, G, H, I, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6, K7 and K8 will be conducted on 15th September 2020 in some major districts of the state.

The timings of the exam will vary in between 9 am to 12 noon and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

UP Polytechnic 2020 Pattern & Syllabus

The UPJEE 2020 is all set to be held on 12th and 15th September in two different shifts. Here are the details on the UP Polytechnic exam pattern:

  • Mode of Examination: The exam is conducted in the offline mode for Group A (Engineering/ Technology courses) and in Computer Based Mode for other courses.
  • Type of Questions: Objective type questions are asked in the exam.
  • Number of Questions: Each group has only one paper with 100 questions.
  • The language of Question Paper: All question papers will be in two languages – Hindi and English.

UP Polytechnic 2020 Eligibility

Age Limit

The minimum age limit of the applicant should be 14 years as on 1st July of the year of examination. If the exam is being conducted in the year 2018, the minimum age of the candidate should be 14 years as on 1st July 2020.

State Eligibility

Candidate of UP domicile will be given preference over non-UP domicile candidate. A UP domicile candidate is the one who meets any one of the following conditions:

  • Parents have UP domicile.
  • Candidates have passed the qualifying exam from UP.
  • Any of the parents is an employee of the Central Government and is posted in UP.

UP Polytechnic 2020 Application Process

Application window for UPJEE 2020 is once again decided to open by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh. As per the new application dates, candidates can apply for the exams from 17th to 21st June 2020 at the authorized website of UPJEE. Those who haven’t applied yet, this is your last chance to enrol yourself for JEECUP 2020 application process.  Earlier, the last date for submission of the JEECUP 2020 application forms was 11th May. On the other hand, candidates got an opportunity to edit their applications from 12th to 15th May 2020 via online mode only. Interested candidates can visit the official website for completing the application process. Here are the steps:

How to Apply for UPJEE (Polytechnic)?

  • Candidates can apply for the exam online through the official website - https://jeecup.nic.in.
  • Go to the website and click on the “Apply” link.
  • Register for the exam, you will receive an ID and password.
  • Log-in with the registered ID and password and complete the application form. Details such as Aadhaar number, parents’ name, DOB, gender, category, contact details, qualification details, etc. are asked in the application form.
  • Candidates are also required to upload scanned images of their photograph and signature.
  • Make application fee payment to complete the process.
  • You can take print out of the filled-in application form for future references.

JEE UP Polytechnic Application Fee

Application fee amount is to be paid as per the category of the candidate. Fee details are mentioned below:

  • General and OBC - ₹ 300/-
  • SC and ST - ₹ 200/-

The fee can be paid through both offline (e-challan) and online (net banking/credit card/debit card) mode.

JEECUP 2020 Admit Card

The admit cards for the UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2020 exam will be uploaded at the official website in the first week of September 2020. Candidates can download the admit cards using their log-in details. Candidates are advised to check all the details on the admit card before downloading the same. Admit card is an important document for appearing in the exam.

JEECUP 2020 Exam Result

The date of result for the entrance exam has not been announced yet by the exam conducting authority. Candidates can check the result online. Qualified candidates are required to take part in the online UPJEE (Polytechnic) counselling process. Seat allocation is done on the basis of the candidate’s rank, seat availability, etc. Candidates are required to report at the allotted institute for confirming the admission.

JEECUP Counselling 2020

The JEECUP counselling is conducted after the result. The counselling for the year 2020 exam will tentatively begin in October 2020. The counselling is conducted in three rounds and an open round of counselling (if the seats remain vacant). The result of the seat allotment rounds is published online. The seat allotment is offered on the basis of candidate’s preference, rank in the UPJEE 2020 exam, and reservation policies.
