When preparing for IBPS PO examination, it is necessary to not only know your syllabus but also the pattern of your examination. Being familiar with the pattern of the examination helps plan out your studies accordingly. The pattern of IBPS PO Examination is consists of three stages - Preliminary Examinations, Mains, and Common Interview examination. Below we have provided detailed pattern of IBPS PO VII 2017 Examination as per the IBPS.

A.) Preliminary Examination

Total Duration: 1 Hour

B.) Main Examination

1.) Reasoning & Computer Aptitude

  • No. of Questions: 45
  • Maximum Marks: 60
  • Medium of Exam: English and Hindi
  • Duration: 60 Minutes

2.) General/Economy/Banking Awareness

  • No. of Questions: 40
  • Maximum Marks: 40
  • Medium of Exam: English and Hindi
  • Duration: 35 Minutes

3.) English Language

  • No. of Questions: 35
  • Maximum Marks: 40
  • Medium of Exam: English
  • Duration: 40 Minutes

4.) Data Analysis & Interpretation

  • No. of Questions: 35
  • Maximum Marks: 60
  • Medium of Exam: English and Hindi
  • Duration: 45 Minutes

5.) English Language (Letter Writing & Essay)

  • No. of Questions: 02
  • Maximum Marks: 25
  • Medium of Exam: English
  • Duration: 30 Minutes

C.) Common Interview Examination

The common interview examination is conducted by the participating organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank.

Note: Candidates who clear Preliminary Examination and get shortlisted will be eligible to appear for Mains. And, shortlisted candidates in Mains are then called for a Common Interview. On getting shortlisted after the common interview examination, candidates are employed to one of the participating organisations as per the Government Guidelines on administrative convenience, reservation policy, etc.
