UPSEE 2019 – The complete information guide for UPSEE 2019 entrance exam
UPSEE is a state level entrance exam of Uttar Pradesh for admission in government as well as private institutes that are affiliated to UPTU along with some other state universities of Uttar Pradesh. The AKTU or Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University is entitled to conduct Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination or UPSEE – 2019 same as last year.
UPSEE offers various professional courses including B.Tech. (Engineering), B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering), B.Arch., B.Pharma, hotel management as well as fashion & apparel design (1st year as well as a lateral entry in 2nd year too) in the Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University and institutes affiliated with it. Students seeking admission in postgraduate dual degree courses such as MBA, MCA, MAM along with a lateral entry in MCA programs can get admission with UPSEE 2019.
UPSEE 2019 exam date will be announced soon; probably it would be in the last week of April. Aadhaar card is compulsory for applying in UPSEE 2019, so students should be ready with that. Along with this, you should get ready with the scanned copy of your passport size photo and signature as prescribed in the admission instructions. There are approximately 841 institutes of Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) participates for UPSEE 2019 for various courses.
UPSEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria
There is a minimum eligibility criterion for UPSEE entrance exam; students need to fulfil the minimum criteria, else you can’t apply.

Compulsory Subjects- Physics & Mathematics
Anyone of the following Subjects - Chemistry/ Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject
- For B. Tech. (Bio-Technology)

Anyone of the following Subjects - Chemistry/ Bio-Technology / Technical Vocational subject
- For B. Arch
Compulsory Subjects- Physics & Mathematics
Anyone of the following Subjects - Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Engineering Drawing / Technical Vocational subject

Students can apply for any of these courses if they have completed their 10+2 or intermediate exam from the UP board or an equivalent exam from a recognised board or university with a minimum aggregate of 45% for general category and 40% for SC/ST categories.
Application form for UPSEE 2019
Candidates, who are looking for participating in the UPSEE 2019 entrance exam, they need to register for UPSEE 2019 exam by filling up the form online through the website http://www.upsee.nic.in. This is a self-explanatory online form so that candidates will get assistance on the form itself.
In case, you find any trouble while filling up the form then contact at Toll-Free Number 1800-180-0161 or send an email at [email protected] with the subject line “Seeking Help.” The online form will be submitted in three phases as registration by filling up of personal and other details, uploading of scanned images of your photograph and signature and payment of Examination Fee and finally getting print of the “Confirmation Page.”
Before filling up the online form, make sure that you have following ready with you.
- Aadhaar Number of the candidate
- A personal mobile phone number and a personal E-Mail id
- Photograph – A front-facing colour passport size photograph (3.5cm X 4.5cm) in JPEG Format with a maximum size of 100 KB
- Signature – A clear scanned image of candidate’s signature (3.5cm X 1.5cm) in JPEG Format with a maximum size of 30 KB
After successful filling of the application form, you need to get it confirmed with payment as required. There are multiple methods of online payment is available, including Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or e-Wallets. You can choose whatever suits you.
Admit Card for UPSEE 2019
The admit card for UPSEE will be available online on the official website. Students need to verify the details mentioned in their admit card, including their category, sub-category, gender, course applied for, Name, Father's Name, exam dates, etc. You need to get the admit card printed before going to the examination centre, candidates will not be allowed without admit card.
In case of facing difficulties while downloading admit cards, candidates should get in touch with the helpline as mentioned on the official website as soon as possible. You need to show your UPSEE admit card at the time of counselling and admission. So, make sure that you carefully preserve the same until the admission process is over.
Examination details for UPSEE 2019
UPSEE 2019 exam will have MCQ(multiple choice questions) papers for various subjects as bilingual in both languages like English and Hindi. It will be conducted for eleven papers except Drawing Aptitude test (Part B of paper 4).
Students need to opt papers and subjects for appearing in the entrance examination. Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3 and Paper 4 shall be OMR based Test only. Whereas Paper 5, Paper 6, Paper 7, Paper 8, Paper 9, Paper 10 and Paper 11 will be a Computer Based Test only.
Scoring and Marking for UPSEE 2019
The MCQ or multiple choice question papers will be required to answer on a specially designed OMR answer sheet against the respective question number. Candidates need to mark only one choice for the correct answer to each question. Though there is no negative marking, yet a record of incorrect answers given by each candidate will be kept separate.
You need to use a blue or black ballpoint pen for marking the OMR sheet, so details filled in your OMR sheet will be treated as final. Also, make sure not to mark multiple answers to a particular question as it will discard and you won’t get any mark for the same question.
Cut-off for UPSEE 2019
The cutoff percentage of marks in the UPSEE 2019 for the merit of successful candidates is 25% (and 20% for SC/ST) as per UP State Government order. Though, make sure to keep updated with any further changes from the official websites.
Results of UPSEE 2019
The results of UPSEE 2019 will be declared in May 2019 tentatively. The university will release separate merit lists for different courses according to the performance of candidates appeared in the exam. The University will publish the merit position, scorecards with total marks and marks obtained in each subject on the website once the results are declared.
Counselling of UPSEE 2019
The qualified students will be called for counselling, so this is advised to stay updated with the latest information on the counselling schedule from Newspapers and websites at https://aktu.ac.in or http://www.upsee.nic.in. You can also download the counselling schedule from these websites. The counselling will be a three-phase process.
- Verification of the documents
The selected candidate will be called for counselling on a scheduled date; they need to visit the allotted verification centres respectively. Students will get a verification centre allotted, where they need to visit along with the original documents and a set of photocopies for the same.
Once the verification gets successful, candidates will get an OTP (One Time Password) on their mobile numbers. Students need OTP number for further in the counselling process, so make sure that you keep it safe with you.
- Filling the choice
This is again a critical phase as your career will shape up according to your choice of course and institution. Students need to fill choices of course, as well as institute preferences for taking admission keeping the score and ranking in mind. Students should understand that this is a preference list, the allotment of seats will on the basis of the UPSEE 2019 ranks secured.
- Seat confirmation
After filling the choices by students and locking it for the next step; here comes the allotment and confirmation of the seats. Once all the students finalise their respective choices for admission; the counselling team will allocate seats to students. Students who find it comfortable with the allotted seats, they can move further to get it confirmed.
This requires students to submit the confirmation of seat in the given period. If any student missed out to pay the confirmation fee on-time, then that particular allotment will be cancelled out.
