UPCET Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has renamed the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) as Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET) through an official announcement on 25th March 2021. The Agency has also started the online application process for the UPCET 2021 exam from 1st April 2021 onwards. The exam will be conducted for admission to UG and PG level courses offered by institutes affiliated to Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) and some other state universities. However, candidates must note that admission to Engineering and Architecture courses will be done via JEE Main. The UPCET (UPSEE) exam has been discontinued for these courses. UPSEE/ UPCET 2021 Exam Latest Notification -

  • UPCET 2021 Application Correction has been started on 17th July 2021. The last date to submit the correction is 20th July 2021.
  • The last date for UPCET 2021 application form submission has been extended till 15th July 2021.
  • The online application process for the same has started on 1st April 2021 on the official website.

UPCET 2021 Syllabus

UPCET Exam 2021 Eligibility

To appear for the UPCET 2021 Exam, candidates should fulfil the below eligibility criteria-

Nationality

  • Candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • NRI, Foreign Nationals, PIO (People of Indian Origin) and Kashmiri migrants are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for the UPCET exam.

Educational Qualification

Educational qualifications differ for different courses covered under the UPCET 2021 exam. Those appearing/ appeared in the qualifying exam and are waiting for the result are also eligible to apply for the exam. Other eligibility conditions are as under:

UPCET Exam 2021 Application Process

The UPCET 2021 application process started on 1st April and will continue till 15th July 2021. The applications are to be submitted only through the online mode via the official website. Candidates are required to submit only one application fee. However, they can apply for more than one course through a single application form. Two application forms are available on the official website - one for UG courses and one for PG courses. Candidates are advised to choose the forms correctly.

Things Required for Filling the UPCET 2021 Application Form

  • Valid Government ID Proof (Aadhaar Card/ Passport/ Election Card/ Ration Card/ PAN Card/ Bank Account Number/ Others
  • Date of Birth as mentioned on the class X certificate
  • Educational Qualification details
  • Scanned image of passport size photograph in JPG/JPEG format. The size of the image must be between 10 KB and 200 KB. The photo can be either black & white or coloured (without a mask)
  • Scanned image of signature in JPG/ JPEG format. The size of the scanned image must be between 4 KB and 30 KB.
  • Exam city choices
  • Bank account details for fee payment
  • Valid Email Id
  • Valid Mobile Number

Steps to Fill the UPCET 2021 Application Form

  • Visit the official website and click on the link for application submission.
  • Provide the personal details asked for and set a password. Submit the details for completing the registration process.
  • On successful registration, you will receive a system-generated application number. This application number and created password are your login credentials for all future correspondence.
  • Now, log in again using the credentials to complete the remaining application process.
  • Enter details such as date of birth, city of examination, educational qualification, etc.
  • Upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature in the respective fields. Ensure the scanned images are as per the specifications, as there will be no option for correction at later stages.
  • Make the fee payment using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI/ Paytm.
  • After successful fee payment, a confirmation page will generate.
  • Take a print of the same.

Candidates are required to pay the application fee as per the category they belong to. Please note that the fee amount mentioned below is exclusive of taxes or service charges. Candidates have to bear these charges themselves. The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable.

Other Details

UPCET 2021 Admit Card

UPCET 2021 admit card will be uploaded on the official website 15 days prior to the examination. Admit cards will be issued only for those who have submitted their completed application form before the last date. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website using the login credentials. It will have details related to the exam centre, date and timings. Any request for changes in the exam date, centre, and timings will not be considered. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination without the admit card. Candidates are required to carry the following items to the exam centre:

  • Admit Card
  • Self Declaration downloaded from NTA’s website
  • ID Proof
  • A transparent ballpoint pen
  • Additional photograph (passport size -  to be pasted on the attendance sheet)
  • Transparent water bottle
  • Hand sanitiser (50 ml)
  • Sugar tablets/ fruits, only for diabetic candidates

Unable to Download the Admit Card?

“In case a candidate is unable to download Admit Card from the website, the candidate should approach the NTA Helpline 011 4075 9000 between 10.00 am and 05.00 pm from Monday to Saturday or write to NTA at [email protected],” as per the official notification.

UPCET 2021 Answer Key

After the completion of the exam, NTA will release the provisional answer key for the exam and will provide an option to the candidates for challenging the answer key. The challenges against the answer key can be submitted on payment of ₹ 200 per challenge. This fee will be non-refundable. After considering the challenges submitted, the final answer key will be released. The result will be prepared based on the UPCET 2021 final answer key.

UPCET 2021 Result

As mentioned above, the UPCET 2021 result will be compiled based on the final answer key. The result will be uploaded on the official website. Information about the result declaration will also be given via the candidate’s email, and SMS on the candidates registered email ID and mobile number, respectively. The 2021 result will remain valid only for the current year admissions, i.e. 2021-22 academic year.

UPCET 2021 Score Cards

Candidates will be able to download their UPCET 2021 scorecards using the login credentials. No scorecard will be dispatched to any candidate.

UPCET 2021 Merit List

NTA will also prepare separate merit lists for each course. The merit list will be handed over to AKTU/ MMMUT for the counselling process.
