UPSEE Exam

The UPTU (Uttar Pradesh Technical University) Exam or UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam) is a state level entrance exam. This entrance exam paves the way for admission of students in the various technical colleges/ institutions of Uttar Pradesh. The UPSEE/ UPTU 2018 Exam is put under the regulatory authority of AKTU (Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University). By passing this exam, the student can get admission in the various courses of Engineering, Pharmacy and Management. A student can pursue following courses of B.Arch/B.Pharm/B.Tech /MCA/MAM /BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA etc.

UPSEE Exam 2018 Pattern & Syllabus

The UPTU / UPSEE 2018 Exam will consist of 11 question papers. These papers will contain objective type questions except the Paper 4 which is meant for testing candidates drawing aptitude.

Eligibility for UPSEE Exam 2018

The candidate should fulfil certain criteria of eligibility to appear for the exam,

which is as follows –

Nationality – Candidate should be a citizen of India. Also NRI and

Kashmiri migrants are also eligible to apply for the exam.

Age Limit – There is no upper age limit for the exam.

Educational Qualification –

  • Candidate should have passed the 12th standard in the Science stream with the combination of PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) subjects to become eligible to apply for the B. Tech course.
  • Those candidates who have done B.Sc or are Diploma holders are eligible to apply for the exam to make a lateral entry in B.Tech course.
  • Those candidates who are in their final year are also eligible to apply for the exam.


UPSEE Exam 2018 Application Process

Application Form

Candidate can avail the Application form online from 23rd January 2018. Candidate should fill the application form as per the given instructions. There is no need to send the application form to the University. However, the student must keep the printout of the confirmation page which will be required for the future use. The last date to apply for the exam is 15th March 2018.

How To Apply

  • Candidate should visit the official website of the UPSEE/UPTU.

  • Here he should click on the apply button. It will ask him to get registered first.
  • Candidate can get registered by entering his personal details like name, address, email id and mobile number.
  • Upon registration, the candidate will be given official login id and password. With these details, the candidate can get access to the Application form.
  • Candidate should fill the application form with all the necessary details. He should give information about his Educational qualification, Name, Mother Name, Father Name, Date of birth, Parent domicile, Qualifying Exam passed, Identification details etc. If the candidate belongs to a reserved category, then he should furnish details about it.
  • Along with the application form, it is important that candidate should upload the scanned copies of his photograph, signature and impression of his left thumb.
  • The photograph should be coloured, in JPEG format and its size should not exceed the 100 KB. The dimensional size should be 3.5 c.m and 4.5 c.m. The background of the photograph should be white. Similarly, the size of the Signature and left thumb impression should not exceed 30 KB size. Its dimensional size should be 3.5 c.m and 1.5 c.m.
  • Along with the form, it is important to pay the application fee also. Without Application fee forms will not be accepted.
  • Before submitting the application form candidate should check it for any mistake or errors. Even if some mistake has occurred by the candidate while filling the application form, then he should wait for the opening of the correction window which will be available until 5th April 2018

Paying the application fee is mandatory. Candidate should fill the details of the application fee on the application form. Once paid application fee is non-refundable.

Other Details

UPTU / UPSEE Admit Card 2018 Exam

Candidates can download their admit card from the official website. The admit cards will be available for download from 20th April 2018 onwards. No, admit card will be sent by offline mode. Candidate should not wait for the admit card at their address. Candidate should download their admit card as per the Paper. The admit card contains the name, roll number, date, timing and address of venue of the exam. Without admit card no candidate will be allowed to take up the exam. Candidate should preserve the admit card until the process of the exam gets complete.

The result of UPTU / UPSEE 2018 Exam

The result for the  UPSEE Exam 2018 will be published in the First Week of June 2018. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in the written exam.

Q. How to get the application form for the UPTU 2018 Exam?

The application form will be available online only.

Q. When will the UPTU 2018 Exam will be held?

The exam will be held on 29th April 2018 for UG courses and 5th & 6th May 2018 for PG Courses.

Q. When one can avail the application form of the UPTU 2018 Exam?

There are 11 papers in the UPTU exam.

Q. What is the mode of exam of UPTU Exam?

There are pen and paper mode and computer-based mode for the exam. From Paper 1 to Paper 4 the exam is conducted in the pen and paper mode. Rest of the papers from Paper 5 to 11 is a computer-based test.

Q. Is there any negative marking in the exam?

There is no scheme of negative marking.

Q. What should be the educational qualification for the exam?

The candidate should have passed (without grace) intermediate exam of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognised board securing a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). The eligibility criteria differ for different courses so check out the official information brochure for more details.

Q. Is there any age limit for the exam?

There is no upper age limit for the exam.

Q. How much is the application fee for the exam?

The application fee for the exam is ₹ 1300 for the General candidate and OBC. It is ₹ 650 for SC, ST, PWD and Female candidates.

Q. If after filling the application form is there any opportunity for correction?

The window for correction in the application form will be opened until 5th April 2018.
