UGC NET Result 2018 July Session Released – Steps to Check Result, Answer Keys and Merit List

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 08 July 2018 (Sunday). The board conducts the exam on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Candidates with a post-graduate degree can take the test for the post of Assistant Professor and the award of Junior Research Fellowship. UGC NET Result 2018 Released:

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the UGC NET 2018 July session result on 31 July 2018 on the official website. Usually, the board takes three months time to declare the result, however, this time the result has been announced earlier.

The board has uploaded the result on NET’s official website (https://cbsenet.nic.in/). Aspirants can check their result with the help of their log-in Id and password generated at the time of registration. Please note that no candidate will be intimated individually about the result.

As per the recent changes in the selection criteria, “The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in both the papers of NET.

Soon after the announcement of the UGC NET 2018 result, CBSE will upload the marks of the candidates on the official website. However, no mark sheet will be released for the qualified/non-qualified candidates. The candidates who will qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) will also be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor. Such candidates can pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation. Universities, IITs, and other institutions may also select the JRF awardees for full-time research work.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the result for UGC NET 2018 July session. Candidates can check the same from the official website using their login details. Those who qualify for the JRF can pursue their research or work as an Assistant Professor while those who qualify for the post of Assistant Professor can apply for the vacant posts in both government and private institutions.

UGC NET Answer Key 2018

The scanned images of candidates’ response sheets and answer keys are uploaded on the official website on 24th July 2018. Candidates are provided with the option to challenge the captured responses/answer key on payment of ₹ 1000/- per question. The fee will be refunded if the challenge is accepted. Final answer key will be released after considering the challenges. The result will be declared on the basis of the final answer key. The last date to challenge the answer key is 27th July 2018.

UGC NET Merit List 2018

Separate category-wise and subject-wise merit list will be released when the final result will be declared. Top 6% of the candidates who have appeared for both the papers will be declared qualified. CBSE will not issue mark sheet to qualified or non-qualified candidates.

UGC NET December 2018

From now onwards, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is the official exam-conducting body of UGC NET. This Agency will conduct its first entrance exam, i.e. the UGC NET December 2018 session on 2nd December 2018. Here is the schedule for the examination:

  • Online submission of application forms – 1st to 30th September 2018
  • UGC NET 2018 December exam dates – 2nd to 16th December 2018
  • Result declaration – last week of January 2019
