NEET Exam 2018 UG Result – All You Should Know

The Central Board of Secondary Education will release the result of NEET exam 2018 on first week of June. You will have to visit official website of CBSE NEET to check the result after the intimation of CBSE. The application form of NEET will be available from 4th week of January 2018. The board has already declared the exam date which will be 6th May for selection of candidates in 2018-19 academic session. All private and public medical and dental colleges except AIIMS and JIPMER select students on the basis of NEET score. To check the result, score card and All India Rank; applicants have to visit the official website.

There will be no mode of offline publication of result. SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates’ results will also be published within the main result. Both category rank and All India Rank (AIR) will be purely based on NEET result 2018. The candidates will be invited for counseling on the basis of those ranks.

For general category candidates, the minimum cut-off marks is 50% and for the reserved categories it is 40%. Before the declaration of the result, candidates can check the answer key and OMR sheets to estimate the tentative score in the exam.  

Important Dates on NEET 2018

CBSE will not only conduct the NEET exam but also publish All India Rank to DGHS for counseling to 15% All India Quota and authorities for state counseling. The exam will be online only. After the announcement, they need to log in to the official website and check the result.

Things you need to Check NEET exam

To check NEET 2018 result, you need to visit http://cbseneet.nic.in. each candidate has to log in to his or her individual account with the following credentials.

  • Roll Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Verification Code

Steps to Check NEET Result for 2018:

  • Go to the official site of CBSE NEET from the above address
  • On homepage, select the link ‘Click Here’
  • You will be redirected to the log in page
  • Enter Roll Number, Date of Birth and Captcha Verification Code
  • Now select ‘Submit’ button
  • The score card will be displayed on screen.
  • Take at least two print-outs of the result for future use.
  • The result will be valid for the academic session 2018-19 only.

NEET 2018 Tie Breaking Factors:

In case of, candidates score equal marks in the exam, CBSE will consider some factors to break the tie. Here are the tie-breaking factors for NEET exam score.

  • Candidates with higher NEET score  in Biology subject will be selected
  • Candidates with higher NEET score in Chemistry subject will be selected
  • Candidates who have attempted less number of wrong questions in NEET exam will be selected.

The last factor of tie breaking is older age candidate will be selected.
