NEET Exam 2018 UG Result Declared – All You Should Know

The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the result for NEET 2018 exam on 4th June 2018. Aspirants can visit the official website of CBSE NEET to check the result online. The application form of NEET was made available from 8th Feb 2018. The board has successfully conducted the exam on 6th May for the selection of candidates for the 2018 academic session. All the private and public medical and dental colleges except AIIMS and JIPMER select students on the basis of the NEET score. To check the result, scorecard and All India Rank, applicants have to visit the official website.

CBSE has declared the NEET result 2018 in the online mode. The results of the SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates have also been published within the main result. Both category rank and All India Rank (AIR) will purely be based on the NEET exam result. The candidates will be invited for counselling on the basis of those ranks.

For the general category candidates, the minimum cut-off mark is 50% and for the reserved categories, it is 40%. Before the declaration of the result, candidates can check the answer key and OMR sheets to estimate the tentative score in the exam.

CBSE not only conducts the exam but also publish All India Rank to DGHS for counselling to 15% All India Quota and authorities for state counselling.

How to Check NEET 2018 Result:

To check the NEET 2018 result, visit http://cbseneet.nic.in. Log-in to your account with the following credentials -

  • Roll Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Verification Code

Steps to Check NEET Result for 2018:

  • Go to the official site of CBSE NEET from the above address
  • On the homepage, select the link ‘Click Here.’
  • You will be redirected to the log-in page
  • Enter Roll Number, Date of Birth and CAPTCHA Verification Code
  • Now select ‘Submit’ button
  • The scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
  • Take at least two printouts of the result for future use.
  • The result will be valid for the academic session 2018-19 only.

NEET 2018 Tie-Breaking Factors:

In case, two or more candidates score equal marks in the exam; the Board will consider a few important factors to break the tie. Here are some tie-breaking factors for NEET exam score.

  • Candidates with higher NEET score  in Biology subject will be selected
  • Candidates with higher NEET score in Chemistry subject will be selected
  • Candidates who have attempted less number of wrong questions in NEET exam will be selected
  • Lastly, the age factor. The older candidates will be given preference than the younger ones.
