ICSE Class 10th Result 2019 - Download Procedure, Passing Criteria and Rechecking Details

7th May 2019: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has declared the ICSE class 10th result today i.e. 7th May at 3:00 PM. Students who have appeared for the examination conducted from 22nd February to 25th March 2019 can check their result at the official website of the council - https://www.cisce.org/. Candidates need to check their result using their Unique ID number.

The pass percentage for the ICSE 2019 examination is 98.54% and it has increased by 0.03% from last year.

How to check the ICSE 10th Result 2019

Students can check the ICSE class 10th result through the official website as well as through SMS. Here are the procedures for checking the result through both the ways:

Result at Official Website

  • Visit the official website of the council - https://www.cisce.org/.
  • Click on the result link for 2019 exam.
  • The result search window will appear.
  • Select your course and enter the unique ID, index number, and captcha code in the respective fields.
  • Click on ‘Show Result’ button.
  • The result will appear on the screen.
  • Check the result and click on the ‘Print’ button to take a print-out for future reference.

Result through SMS

Students can also access result through SMS. The result will be sent to their mobile phones. Here is the message that they need to type:

ICSE Class 10th Passing Criteria

The minimum passing marks for each subject is 35%. Candidates who secure less than35% marks in any of the subjects will not qualify the exam. The passing certificate will not be issued to such candidates. The result will be mentioned in grades from 1 to 9 where 1 is the highest and 9 is the lowest. The grading structure is as follows:

Students can appear for the compartment exam only in one subject. The compartment exam will be conducted from 15th to 17th July 2019. The application will be submitted from 24th to 30th June 2019 with an application fee of ₹ 1500/-. The result of the compartment exam will be declared on 5th August 2019.

ICSE Class 10th Toppers

The first position in the ICSE class 10th examination has been jointly taken by Juhi Rupesh Kajaria from Mumbai and Manhar Bansal from Muktsar, Punjab. They both secured 99.60 per cent marks.

ICSE Class 10th Result Re-checking

The council does not provide any provision for re-checking the answer sheets. However, students can submit a request for rechecking the accuracy of the grades received. For this, the students must let their respective school know about the rechecking and the application for the rechecking should be forwarded to the council. The application can be submitted either by the student or the school. The proforma of the application will be prescribed by the council, which will be available within 30 days of result declaration. Students also need to pay the prescribed fee for the rechecking.
