ICSE Class 10th Result 2020 - Download Procedure, Passing Criteria and Rechecking Details

10th July 2020: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has declared the ICSE class 10th result today i.e. 10th July at 3:00 PM. Students can check their result at the official website of the council - https://www.cisce.org. Candidates need to check their result using their Unique ID number. Initially, the exams were scheduled to be held from 27th February to 30th March 2020. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the papers scheduled after 19th March were postponed. Later on 25th June 2020, the pending exams were cancelled by the apex court.

How to check the ICSE 10th Result 2020

Students can check the ICSE class 10th result through the official website as well as through SMS. Here are the procedures for checking the result through both the ways:

Result at Official Website

  • Visit the official website of the council - https://www.cisce.org/.
  • Click on the result link for 2020 exam.
  • The result search window will appear.
  • Select your course and enter the unique ID, index number, and captcha code in the respective fields.
  • Click on ‘Show Result’ button.
  • The result will appear on the screen.
  • Check the result and click on the ‘Print’ button to take a print-out for future reference.

Result through SMS

Students can also access result through SMS. The result will be sent to their mobile phones. Here is the message that they need to type:

ICSE <Seven Digit Unique ID>

The result will appear on your screen once successfully delivered.

ICSE Class 10th Passing Criteria

The minimum passing marks for each subject is 35%. Candidates who secure less than35% marks in any of the subjects will not qualify the exam. The passing certificate will not be issued to such candidates. The result will be mentioned in grades from 1 to 9 where 1 is the highest and 9 is the lowest. The grading structure is as follows:

ICSE Class 10th Toppers

CICSE board has decided not to publish the merit list for this year’s examination because of the exceptional circumstances. Here are the statistics related to the 2020 exam:

  • Total Students Appeared - 2,07,902
  • Total Students Passed - 2,06,525
  • Unsuccessful Students - 1,377
  • Total Boys Appeared - 1,12,668 (54.19%)
  • Total Gils Appeared - 95,234 (45.81%)
  • Total Participating Schools - 2,341

ICSE Class 10th Result Re-checking

The council has made a provision to apply for rechecking. The application can be made through the official website. Rechecking will be done only for the papers which were conducted. Rechecking charges for ICSE will be ₹ 1000/- per paper. The request for rechecking will remain open for Seven days i.e. from 10th July to 16th July 2020.
