The National Testing Agency has opened the registration window for the GPAT 2020 exam on 1st November 2019. The registration process will continue till 30th November 2019. Earlier, the exam was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) but from 2019 onwards, the exam will be conducted by the NTA.

GPAT 2020 is a National-Level exam, conducted each year for the aspirants who want to ensure their career in the medical field by studying prestigious M.Pharm courses with reputed colleges in India. The purpose of such examination is to extract desirable candidates for the seats under AICTE approved colleges and institutes.

GPAT 2020 Application Process - Step-By-Step Guide

The application forms for GPAT exam 2020 are available at the official website of NTA. The registration process has started on 1st November and will continue till 30th November 2019. GPAT 2020 application process is a four-way process – Registration, filling in the details, uploading scanned images, and fee payment. Here is the detailed application submission process:

Step-1 Registration

  • Visit the official website - https://ntagpat.nic.in/
  • Click on ‘Fill Application Form’ button.
  • Now click on the ‘APPLY’ button under the ‘NEW CANDIDATE REGISTRATION’ section.
  • Complete the procedure for registration and on successful registration, a system-generated application number will appear on the screen.
  • Keep the number save as it is your user ID for log-in.

Step-2 Completing Application Form

  • After registration, Log-in using the application number and password.
  • Provide the details asked for in the form and complete it.

Step-3 Uploading Scanned Images

Upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature. Make sure you upload the images correctly as no option to make corrections will be provided at later stages.

Step-4 Fee Payment

Make fee payment through E-Challan/Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking. After successful payment of the fee, a confirmation page will generate. Take a printout of the confirmation page.

It is advised to fill the application form well before the last date of registration i.e. 30th November 2019.

GPAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The NTA has the following eligibility criteria for examinees of GPAT 2020 exam:

  • Must be an Indian Citizen.
  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (10+2+4) from a recognised university /institution.
  • The final year B.Pharmacy students are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • There is no age limit for appearing in the GPAT 2020.
  • However, students of B.Tech with Fine Chemical Technology and Pharmaceutical are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.

GPAT 2020 Exam Pattern

The exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with time duration of 3 hours or 180 minutes. There will be 125 questions, and the total marks will be 500.

GPAT 2020 Admit Card

Candidates who will successfully fill in the application forms will get the admit card /call letter from the official website of the NTA (National Testing Agency). The admit cards are expected to be out by the first week of January 2020. The aspirants have to download it in clear print and produce it during the examination process.
