National Law University (NLU), Delhi, conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) for admission to a 5-year integrated program BA LLB, 1-year LLM, and Ph.D. program. It is a university-level exam that is conducted offline mode across the country.
The notification for AILET 2023 was released on 7th September 2022, and the application forms for the 2023 exam were released on 15th November 2022. AILET 2023 Eligibility
Applicants need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the AILET 2023 exam. If any candidate is found ineligible at any stage, he/ she will be disqualified. Here are the details for AILET eligibility:
Eligibility Criteria for UG Program
- Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Those appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible.
Eligibility Criteria for PG Program
- Candidates must have passed a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree program with minimum aggregate marks of 55% (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories).
- Those in the final year of the LLB program are also eligible.
Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Program
- Candidates must hold an LLM degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST).
OR
- Completed law degree and Master’s degree such as MPhil in Humanities/ Social Sciences from a recognized University with at least 55% marks.
OR
- Must have completed a law degree and a Ph.D. (any discipline).
OR
- Must have worked as a State High Court Judge in India for a minimum of three years or Judge at the Supreme Court of India.
AILET 2023 Application Process
NLU Delhi started the AILET 2023 application process on 15th November 2022. The application process is online. Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications by the last date.
Steps to Submit the AILET 2023 Application Form
The application process can be filled in the following stages:

- Fee Payment
Registration
- Visit the official website at https://nludelhi.ac.in/.
- Click on the ‘Click here for AILET 2023 Admissions’ button on the top.
- Click on the ‘New Registration’ button.
- Provide the details asked for, such as course, name, mobile number, and email ID. Generate the OTP; it will be sent to your mobile number for verification.
- After the successful verification, the registration process will be complete.
- The Login ID (Application number) will be sent to the registered email address.
Application Form Filling
- After successful registration, log in using your ID and password.
- Complete the remaining application form by providing details such as the mother's name, father's name, date of birth, gender, category, nationality, center choices, academic qualification, address, etc.
- Upload the scanned image of the candidate's photograph and signature.
- Preview the application form before final submission.
Photograph and Signature Specifications
- Recent passport-size photograph with white background. The size of the photograph must be 15 to 250 KB. The scanned image should be in .jpg/ .jpeg format.
- Signature with black/ blue pen on white paper within a 6cms x 3cms box. The image must be in .jpg/ .jpeg format in sizes 15 to 250 KB.

- Make the application fee payment using a Debit/ Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
