SSC GD Constable 2018 Online Application Submission Date Extended – Apply till 30th September
The online registration dates for SSC GD Constable Exam 2018 from 17th September to 30th September 2018. Check out the steps to complete the form.
17th September 2018: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the last date for online registration for Constables (General Duty) in SSF, CAPFs, NIA, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. The registration process for the same has started on 17th August. Earlier, the last date of registration process was 17th September.
The commission has released the official notification for the SSC GD exam on 21st July 2018 and the registration process was to start from 25th July; however, it was postponed because of the heavy load of applications on the official website - https://ssc.nic.in/.
The Official notification reads, “The commission has hosted this application on its new website, and that during the initial few days, there were some teething problems, wherein it was observed that the new website of the commission was running slow, consequent to which some candidates reported inconvenience in submitting their online application forms.
Therefore, keeping in view the difficulties faced by some candidates, the Competent Authority has, in the overall interest of the candidates, decided to extend the closing date for filling up of online application forms for the said examination from 17-09-2018 to 30-09-2018.”

The registration process has started today i.e. 17th August from 10 AM and candidates can submit the online application by 30th September 2018.

The recruitment process is being conducted for 54,953 posts which are divided as follows:
- For Males – 47,307
- For Females – 7,646
Steps to apply for the online SSC GD Constable Exam 2018
- Go to the official SSC website - https://ssc.nic.in/
- Click on the ‘Register Now’ link under ‘Login’ section on the home-page. If you have appeared for any of the SSC exams earlier, you are already registered. You can log-in with your registered id and complete the application process. You need to register only once on the SSC’s website and then you just have to complete the application process.
- Complete the registration form. On completion of the registration process, you will receive a registration id.
- Login with your registration Id and password to complete the application form.
- Take a printout of the completed application form.

“As the new website of the Commission may take some time to stabilize, for initial few days, to minimise the inconvenience to candidates, applicants are advised to also utilize off-time or non-peak hours of 10 PM to 8 AM for making One-Time Registration and filling of online Application Forms” states the official notice.
