SSC CHSL 2020-21 Notification Out – Registration Begins From 06th November Till 15th December

The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2020. The SSC CHSL notification can be downloaded from the official website at ssc.nic.in. Interested and eligible cam apply online for the posts of lower division clerk (LDC)/ junior secretariat assistant (JSA), postal assistant (PA)/ sorting assistant (SA) and data entry operator (DEO) on or before 15th December 2020.

As per the released SSC CHSL 2020 notification, the commission has confirmed that the tier 1 computer based examination (CBE) of CHSL 2020-2021 will be conducted from 12th to 27th April 2021. The exam will be held via Computer Based Mode for recruitment to various posts in different Ministries/Departments of Government of India and their Attached & Subordinate Offices.

SSC CHSL 2020-21 Pay Scale

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (₹19,900 - 63,200).
  • Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Level-4 (₹ 25,500-81,100).
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4 (₹ 25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (₹ 29,200 - 92,300).
  • Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’: Pay Level-4 (₹ 25,500 - 81,100).

SSC CHSL 2020-21 Exam Pattern

SSC has also specified the scheme and pattern of the CHSL 2020-2021 exam in the official notification system. Similar to last year, this year’s exam will also consist of three stages viz. tier-I, tier-II and tier-III. Tier-I exam scheduled to be conducted in April 2021 will be conducted in the form of computer-based tests. The paper will consist of 25 questions from each of the subjects of English language, general intelligence, quantitative aptitude and general awareness. Candidates will be allowed 60 minutes of duration to solve all of the questions.

Steps to Apply for SSC CHSL 2020 Exam

  1. Go to the SSC CHSL official website.
  2. Log-in using your SSC credentials if you have appeared for any of the SSC exams before else register as a new user.
  3. Follow the steps to complete the application process.
  4. After successful payment of application fee, the confirmation page will appear.
  5. Download and take a print out of the same.

It must be noted that candidates must provide a functional email address and mobile number in order to register online. Similarly, one must furnish scanned copies of relevant supporting documents and recent coloured photographs in order to submit the online application form. Once the process is completed, candidates are provided with the facility to check their application form status.
