Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2018 Schedule Released

KCET 2018 schedule is released on the official website. Check out the important dates here.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the schedule for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2018. KEA, the exam organising authority will be conducting the exam in April 2018. As compared to last year, this year’s exams are scheduled earlier. Last year’s exam was held on 2 and 3 May and the result was declared on 30 May 2017. Here is the KCET 2018 schedule:

CET for Biology and Mathematics

18 April 2018 (Wednesday)

CET for Physics and Chemistry

19 April 2018 (Thursday)

Kannada language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates*

20 April 2018 (Friday)

* Kannada language test will be held only in Bangalore.

KCET 2018 will be conducted in two shifts:

  • 10:30 AM to 11:50 PM
  • 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM

The maximum marks for each subject in KCET are 60 and for the Kannada Language Test are 50.

About KCET 2018

As per the Government’s directions, KEA will be conducting the Common Entrance Test 2018 for admission to the first year of Engineering, Technology and Farm Science courses.

Admission to Medical and Dental courses will be done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Admission to Architecture courses will be done through JEE Paper – 2 or the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
