JEXPO Exam Pattern

JEXPO entrance exam is conducted in offline mode. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions are asked in the exam. The section-wise distribution of questions is as under:

Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for every correct response and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.

JEXPO 2022 Eligibility

Nationality

The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit

Minimum Age Limit

  • Must not be born after 1st July 2006.

Maximum Age Limit

  • There is no upper age limit.

Qualification

  • Must have passed the Secondary (Madhyamik) exam from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics, English, and Physical Science/ Science/ Science & Technology and other subjects securing at least 35% marks in aggregate (not including the marks of optional subjects).
  • Those appearing in the secondary exam are also eligible to apply providing they have the above-mentioned subjects. However such candidates must fulfil the minimum percentage criteria.

JEXPO 2022 Application Process

The application process for the JEXPO exam is online and candidates are advised to fill out the applications only through the official website. There is no other mode of application submission. The detailed application procedure is mentioned as under.

  • Visit the official website for the JEXPO exam at https://exam.webscte.co.in/JEXPO-VOCLET.
  • Scroll down to the ‘New Candidate? Register Yourself’ section and enter the details for name, mobile number, username, and password.
  • Click the ‘Register’ button for submitting the information.
  • After successful registration, again visit the home page of the official website and move to the sign-in section.
  • Enter your username and password to sign in.
  • Fill out the JEXPO application form carefully as there is no provision for making corrections in the application details after final submission.
  • Select your preferred colleges/ institutes and exam zone.
  • Make application fee payment.
  • Submit the filled-in form to complete the application process.

JEXPO 2022 Other Details

JEXPO 2022 Admit Card

Admit cards for those who have successfully submitted the application forms will be uploaded at the official website. Candidates can download the same using their application number and take a print. The admit card will have complete details related to exam day, timing, venue, and other important instructions. Please note that no admit card will be sent to candidates through post or any other means. Don’t forget to carry the admit card on the exam day as it is a mandatory document for making entry to the examination hall. Also, keep the admit card safe till the admission process gets over.

Along with the admit cards, candidates must carry an original photo identity card to the exam hall. The photo ID card can be any one of the following:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Admit Card or Certificate of Madhyamik exam
  • Voter ID Card
  • Driving Licence
  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Bank Passbook (with a photograph of applicant)
  • Any other ID card issued by a competent government authority

Candidates must bring a Black/ Blue ball-point pen.

JEXPO 2022 Result

JEXPO 2022 results will be released in the form of a merit list on the official website. Candidates can check their results on the merit list. The council will not issue any individual rank cards. Also, candidates will not be intimidated by the result individually. So, they must keep a check on the official website. No request for scrutiny will be entertained as there is no such provision.

JEXPO 2022 Counselling

After the merit list is released, the qualified candidates are required to participate in the counselling process. Detailed information regarding the counselling process will be made available on the official website.

“The documentary evidence(s) in support of eligibility (citizenship, domicile, educational qualification, age etc.) and/or claims for reserved seats [i.e. Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Physically Challenged (Handicapped) or OBC-A or OBC-B etc., as applicable] need(s) to be produced by the successful candidates at the time of counselling/admission/registration,” as per the official notification.
