NID (National Institute of Design) conducts an entrance exam every year on the national level for admission of students in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Students are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Design Aptitude Test. The DAT is a two-stage exam with Prelims and Mains.

Interior Design Courses 2022 Eligibility

Eligibility for B.Des -

  • For admission to the B.Des programme, a candidate should have done 10+2 from a recognised University/ Board.
  • The upper age limit for a candidate should not be more than 20 years. For the reserved category candidates, there is a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit.

Eligibility for M.Des -

  • A candidate should have done Bachelors/ Diploma in Design.
  • The upper age limit of the candidate should not be more than 30 years. For the reserved category candidates, there is a relaxation of 3 years of age in the upper age limit.

Interior Design Courses 2022 Application Process

A candidate has applied for the NID DAT 2022 exam online between 5th October to 30th November 2021. There was also a provision of applying for the exam after these dates by paying a late fee. There was a provision of application correction from 6th to 13th December 2021, candidates were advised to fill out the application form correctly at once. Here are the steps to apply for the exam.

How To Apply for NID DAT 2022?

  • Visit the official website of the NID.
  • Register by providing basic details, like Name, Phone number, and Email ID. On successful registration, the login credentials will be sent to the registered email ID.
  • Log-in again to access the application form.
  • Fill in the remaining details, upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Check all the details again and submit the completed application form.

The application fee can be paid through Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card. The category-wise fee details are as under:

NID DAT 2022 Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card online from the official website of the NID. The admit card for the Preliminary exam was released on 23rd December 2021. By entering their login details, candidates can download their admit card and take its print copy. The admit card contains information like the roll number, the date, and the venue of the exam. Candidates must carry the admit card to the examination center. Without an admit card, no candidate will be allowed to take the exam. Here are the steps to download the admit card:

  • Visit the official NID website.
  • Look for the admit card link.
  • Enter your log-in details and click the Submit button.
  • The admit card will appear on the screen. Check all the details.
  • Download the admit card and take a print.
