UPTET 2018 Revised Result Declared – Number of Qualifiers Increased

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has released the revised result for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2018. Candidates who have appeared in the UPTET examination on 18th November 2018 can check the result on the official website – upbasiceduboard.gov.in.

As per the revised result for the primary level, around 20,000 more candidates have qualified the exam. Around 3,66,285 candidates have cleared the exam earlier and 19,852 candidates have been added to the list of qualified candidates with the release of the revised result on 20th December 2018 (Thursday). Thus, making the total 3,86,137.

Steps to check the UPTET Result 2018

Follow the steps to check the sarkari result UPTET 2018:

  • Log on to the UPBEB official website - http://upbasiceduboard.gov.in/
  • Select the UPTET Revised Result 2018 link
  • Provide your roll number/ registration ID and password
  • Your result will be displayed on the screen
  • Download and take a print out.

On qualifying the exam, the candidates will be provided with an eligibility certificate (scorecard). It will be valid for a period of 5 years from its release date. The scorecard will be issued within one month of result declaration.

UP Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2019 – Registration Date

With the UPTET revised result released on 20th December, the Board has extended the registration date of the UP Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2018. Earlier, the online registration was to end on 20th December. But, now it will close on 22nd December 2018 (6:00 PM). The examination fee can be submitted up to 23rd December 2018. The last date to take a print out of the completed application form is 24th December 2018.

UPTET 2018 Exam Highlights

As per reports, around 33% i.e. 3,66,285 candidates have qualified the UPTET 2018 exam. Approximately, 11 lakh candidates have appeared for the UPTET 2018 exam. The exam was conducted on 18th November in two shifts – 10 AM to 12:30 PM and 12:30 to 5:00 PM.


The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) is the exam conducting authority for UPTET. The exam is conducted for two papers – Primary and Upper Primary level. The primary level exam is held for Classes 1 to 5, and the upper primary level exam is conducted for Classes 6 to 8. If a candidate wishes to apply for both the papers, he or she can certainly do that. Each paper comprises of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for various government schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
