UPSEE 2018: Application Process Closes with 1.7 Lakh Registrations, Download Admit Card from 20 April

Approximately 1.7 lakh applications have been received for UPSEE 2018. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 29 April, 05, and 06 May 2018 for various courses.

03 April 2018: In the latest development related to the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) 2018, the number of applicants for the exam is higher than last year. This year, approximately 1.7 lakh candidates have registered for the exam as compared to 1.5 lakh registrations of last year.

Out of these 1.7 lakh applicants, 1.5 lakh students had not submitted the application fee. Such students were provided with a chance to pay the application fee by 01 April 2018. In UG courses, 1.4 lakh candidates have completed their registration with fee payment while in PG courses, 11,543 candidates have completed the application form. The total number of students who have applied for engineering courses is 11 lakh.

The registration window for UPSEE 2018 was closed on 30 March 2018, which was the extended date. The Central Admission Board (CAB) has taken the decision to allow application form submission without Aadhaar enrollment number. To comply with this, the last date was extended. Earlier the last for online application submission was 15 March 2018.

UPSEE 2018: Important Dates

The UPSEE exam is conducted on yearly basis by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). This year, the entrance exam is scheduled as follows:

  • For UG courses such as B.Tech, B.Pharm, and B. Arch – 29 April 2018
  • For courses such as MBA (Integrated), BHMCT, BFA, BFAD, Diploma holders in Engineering/Pharmacy, and B.Sc. – 05 May 2018
  • For MBA, MCA, and Lateral Entry in MCA – 06 May 2018

UPSEE 2018: Exam Pattern

The exam is conducted through both Online and Offline mode but only for some papers.

Papers 01 to 04 are Pen and Paper Based

Papers 05 to 11 are Computer-Based Tests

The duration of the exam is three hours for all papers. Candidates are required to select the papers as per the course they want to enroll into. The number of questions varies from paper to paper. 4 marks are awarded for every correct response. There is no provision for negative marking.

UPSEE 2018 Admit Card

The exam conducting authority will release the UPSEE 2018 admit card through the official website. As per the schedule, the admit card will be available from 20 April 2018 (11:00 AM) onwards. Candidates can download it by entering their application number and password. Admit card is mandatory for entering the examination hall.
