This year, the UP Board exams for class 10th were conducted from 06 February to 22 February while for class 12th the exams were held from 06 February to 10 March.
After the release of exam schedule, Uttar Pradesh Education Board Secretary Neena Srivastava had said that the class 10 or matric exams would be completed in 14 working days while class 12 or intermediate exam will be concluded in 25 working days.
This year, 66.37 lakh students had registered for the UP board exams. Out of this, 36.55 lakh candidates registered for class 10th while 29.81 lakh students registered for class 12th. Due to UP government’s strict actions against the use of unfair means in the board examination, more than 10 lakh students skipped the board exams this year.
Delay in Evaluation of Answer Sheets
The board had decided to release the class 10th and 12th board exam results by the second week of April after completing the answer sheet evaluation by 31 March. However, due to delay in evaluation of the answer sheets, the board has to postpone the result dates. The answer sheets of UP board were evaluated at around 248 centres across the state.
UP Board Class 10 and 12 Results
The board will announce the results of both class 10th and 12th on the same day just like last year. Last year, the exams were conducted a little late due to assembly elections. The results were declared on 09 June 2017.
