02nd Febraury 2018: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the official notification for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2018 inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission into first year of engineering, technology, pharmacy, farm science, 2nd year of B.Pharm. courses. Candidates can apply for the KEA KCET 2018 through the official website following the steps mentioned below:
How to Apply for KCET 2018?
- Go to the official website; http://kea.kar.nic.in
- Click on “CET – 2018” link on the homepage.
- Click on “CET-2018 – UG Online Application”.
- Click on “New User? Click Here to Register”.
- Read the instructions carefully and click on “Proceed to Apply Online” button at the bottom of the page.
- Answer the question asked about your nationality and the question that follows.
- Complete the application form with correct details and take a printout of the confirmation page.

*Kannada language test is only for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. The test will be conducted only in Bangalore. The minimum passing marks for the test are 12 out of 50.

Candidates must note that admission into medical, dental and architecture courses will not be done through KCET 2018. For medical and dental courses, candidates have to qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by CBSE. And, for Architecture course, candidates can appear for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or Paper 2 of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
