JoSAA Results 2018! First Round Seat Allocation Declared at jossa,nic.in
JoSAA has declared the first round results of seat allocation at https://josaa.nic.in.
New Delhi/28.06.2019: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has declared the first round results of seat allocation for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, National Institutes of Technology and Government Funded Technical Institutions. Candidates can visit the official website to check JoSAA results 2018 for seat allotment. As per the sources, a whopping number of 36,000 seats are available in 23 IITs, 23 IIITs, 31 NITs and 20 GFTIs.
Steps to Check JoSAA First Round Seat Allotment Result 2018:
- Visit the official website of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (https://josaa.nic.in)
- On the home page, click on the “Round 1: View Allotment Result and Pay Seat Acceptance Fee” link.
- Log in using ‘JEE Main Roll Number’ and ‘Password’
- Now check the JoSAA results displayed on the screen.
Those who have been allotted seats need to release the seat acceptance fee through SBI net banking, SBI e-Challan or SBI debit card. Remember, the payment of the seat acceptance fee through any other means will not be entertained. After the payment is done, students can get the documents verified at the reporting centre, prescribed by the Authority, for provisional seat acceptance. As per the Joint Seat Allocation Authority schedule, the JoSAA 2018 reporting can be done from today i.e. 28th June to 2nd July (5 days).
About JoSAA:
Set up by MHRD (Ministry of Human Resources Development), the Joint Seat Allocation Authority is entrusted with the responsibilities to regulate and manage the joint seat allotment for admission to 100 institutes for the academic year 2018-19. The seat allotment for academic programmes is conducted by JoSAA in 7 rounds. Those programmes are provided by various Institutes under the Joint Seat Allocation Authority.
