Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has declared the JEE Advanced 2017 results. Sarvesh Mehtani from Chandigarh topped the exam.
Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2017 results came out on 11, June 2017 (Sunday). IIT Madras declared the results. The exam was conducted on 21 May 2017 and more than 1.7 lakh students appeared for it.

Sarvesh Mehtani from Chandigarh topped the exam while Akshat Chugh from Pune bagged the second rank. Sarvesh appeared in the exam from IIT Roorkee Zone. He scored 339 marks out of 366 marks which are divided as follows
- 120 marks in Math
- 104 marks in Physics
- 115 marks in Chemistry
He got 55th rank in JEE Main.
One of the toughest entrance examinations for admission in graduate engineering courses offered by IITs; JEE is conducted in two-phases. JEE-Main for admission in Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) and JEE-Advanced for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Only those students who are selected in JEE Mains can appear in JEE-Advanced.
