Maharashtra HSC Result 2020 Out - Steps to Check, Passing Criteria, and Supplementary Exam

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune has declared the result for its Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination on 16th July 2020 at 1 PM for all Science, Commerce, and Arts stream. Last year the result was released on 28th May 2019. However, this year due to the COVID-19 breakout, the result has been delayed. The board had conducted the class 12th examination from 18th February to 18th March 2020. Candidates must visit the official website - www.mahresult.nic.in for checking the result.

A total of 14,13,687 students have appeared for the HSC examination out of which 12,81,712 students have passed the exam. The total pass percentage this year is 90.66 per cent, which is 4.78 per cent more as compared to last year’s pass percentage of 85.88.

Steps to check the Maharashtra Class 12th Result 2020

The board has released the result through online mode and candidates can check the same through the official website by following the steps provided below:

  • Go to the official website - www.mahresult.nic.in.
  • Click on the ‘HSC Examination Result March 2020’ link under the ‘Latest Announcement’ heading.
  • Enter the details asked for (roll number and mother’s first name) and click on the ‘View Result’ button.
  • Your result will appear on the screen.
  • Check all the details carefully and download the result.
  • You can take a print for the result.

Divisionals Statistics

The result is also available on the basis of different division in the state. Thus, separate results are available for the divisions viz. Aurangabad, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Konkan, and Latur.

Passing Criteria

Students are required to score at least 20 per cent marks in the written/theory exam and 35 per cent marks  (combined) in the theory and practical exam for passing the exam. The board conducts supplementary exams for those who are not able to qualify. The exam is conducted in the month of July and the result for the same is announced by the end of August.
