JIPMER 2019: The national level entrance examination is organised and conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. Originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established in 1823 by the French Government, the medical college was later upgraded to Dhanvantari Medical College. And after a few years, it was again converted to JIPMER. The JIPMER 2019 is the gateway to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Super Speciality, PhD programmes, Fellowship, Certificate and Post Basic Diploma programmes.

After clearing the JIPMER Exam 2019, the eligible candidates will get admission in the medical course (MBBS) of the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research and its affiliated campuses.

  • Now the applicants are notified of the payment option. Remit the required amount using the credit card, debit card and net banking options.

  • Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

JIPMER 2019 Exam Pattern & Syllabus:

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research will conduct the exam in online mode. It is a computer-based test (CBT) and the duration would be two and half hours. Moreover, there will be two shifts – morning and afternoon, and the test would be conducted in English language. All the questions would be objective types. There would be no negative marking scheme for wrong answers.

An Institute of National Importance under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, JIPMER will ask questions that are mainly based on the syllabus of CBSE XI & XII and SBHS (State Board Higher Secondary). JIPMER 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

The JIPMER medical institute checks the eligibility of an applicant through the following –

  • National: He must be an India citizen. If the applicant is staying overseas, he too can apply for the exam.
  • Age: He must meet the age limit, which is 17 years old, at the time of filling the application form. JIPMER has not fixed the upper age limit bar.
  • Academic Qualification: The candidate must have passed 10+2 with more than 50% marks from the subjects like Physics, Biology or Biotechnology, Chemistry, English and one elective subject. He should have passed all the subjects individually. For reserved candidates and general-OPH, the minimum passing mark is 40% in PCB stream.
