Question 1: What is XAT and who is the conducting authority?
XAT, also known as Xavier Aptitude Test, is a national-level management entrance test conducted by XLRI – Xavier School of Management.
Question 2: When will the XAT 2020 exam commence? If I have to apply, when should I expect the application form?
The exam is scheduled to be held in the first week of January 2020. The application process is available on the official website. The Authority will conclude the registration process at the end of November 2019.
Question 3: Is it mandatory to have a Bachelor’s Degree to appear for the test?
Yes, it is. However, students who are in the final year can apply too.
Question 4: What about the NRI students? Are they eligible for XAT 2020?
Foreign nationals and NRIs can apply through GMAT scores.
Question 5: How would candidates know that the application form is submitted correctly?
Upon successful registration, candidates will be indicated with a system-generated XAT ID. Note it down for future use. However, it is important to fill the form carefully. Forms that are submitted cannot be modified or changed.

The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 35 minutes. It will be done in two papers – Paper I and Paper II. However, there will be no gap between the papers.

Question 9: If I score below 50% in Bachelor’s programme, will I be denied to sit in the test?
No. You are actually eligible for the test.
Question 10: What is the age bar for the XAT test?
There’s no age limit for the exam.
