UPTET Exam Pattern

UPTET exam is conducted for two papers:

• Paper 1 for primary level teachers (classes 1^st to 5^th)
• Paper 2 for upper primary level teachers (classes 6^th to 8^th)

Candidates can also appear for both papers. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are asked from the following sections in papers 1 and 2:

UPTET Exam 2022 Eligibility

Candidates are required to make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria for the UPTET 2022 exam before filling out the application form. Here is the eligibility criteria for the exam:

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University and passed or appearing in Bachelors’ of Education/Diploma in Elementary Education/Nursery Teacher Training (NTT)/Bachelor’s in Special Education or any other equivalent course.
• Intermediate with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4 years integrated course.

UPTET Exam 2022 Application Process

The online application process for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) will start tentatively in August 2022. The exams are expected to be held in October 2022. Candidates are required to apply online only through the official website.

Steps to apply for UPTET 2022 Exam

Step 1 – Reading the online notification carefully

Before applying for the exam, candidates are required to read the details related to eligibility, documents required for application, and other information carefully. Some of the important points are:

• No correction will be allowed in any of the application details after the submission of the form.
• All the entries in the online application form will be filed only in the ‘English’ language. Do not use any special characters such as %, &, *, #, +, etc. while filing the details.
• Fields marked with the ‘*’ sign are mandatory.
• Candidates are required to fill out only one application form for one level of the exam. In the case of multiple applications, only the last completed form will be considered. If candidates want to appear for both papers, they need to fill out two application forms.

Step 2 – Registering for the exam

• Go to the official UP Basic Education Board website.
• Click on the link for the UPTET 2022 exam.
• Again, click on the link for online registration.
• Complete the application process by filling in details such as personal details, educational details, category, ID proof details, upload scanned images of photograph and signature, accept the declaration, and save the form.
• An OTP will be sent to your registered number, verify it.  A registration number with registration status will appear on the screen, take a printout.

Step 3 – Paying the application fee

After successful registration, candidates are required to pay the application fee through the HDFC payment gateway using the debit card/credit card/internet banking facility.

Step 4 – Printing the application form

On successful payment of the application fee, candidates are required to print the online application form.

UPTET Admit Card 2022

The UPTET 2022 admit card will be available on the official website. Candidates can download the same through their registration number and password. Candidates must note that the admit card will not be sent through the post. Here are the steps to download the admit card:

• Visit the official website - upbasiceduboard.gov.in.
• The link to download the admit card will appear on the home-page screen. Click it.
• Enter your registration number in the space provided.
• Click the ‘Proceed’ button.
• Complete the process to download the admit card. And, take a printout of the same.

The admit card will contain the details of the examination venue and candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam at any other venue. Do carry the admit card to the examination venue.

UPTET 2022 Result

The UPTET Result 2022 will be published on the official website of the exam conducting authority. Candidates can obtain their UPTET result simply by entering the required details in the given space, which includes the UPTET registration number and password. To download the final UPTET 2022 result, one should need to pursue these steps.

Validity of Score Card/Eligibility Certificate

An eligibility certificate will be issued to the candidates who qualify for the UPTET 2022 exam. The validity of the scorecard will be five years from the date of the result announcement. The eligibility certificate will be made available within one month after the result declaration.
