The preliminary exam is scheduled to be held on 19th January 2020.

This exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

Question 7: What is the nature of questions?

Questions in the Preliminary phase exam will be of objective type and questions in the Main phase exam will be of descriptive type.

Question 8: Is there any scheme of negative marking?

There is a negative marking scheme for the preliminary exam. One-third of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted for the wrong answer.

Question 9: If the examination fee is same for all category candidates?

No, the examination fee for the General/ OBC Candidates is Rs 200. No examination fee is charged from the SC/ST and female candidates.

There are 3 stages in this exam – Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Personality Test.
