1. IIT (Indian Institute Of Technology)

Indian Institute of Technology is undoubtedly the best engineering college in India. To get admission to the IIT is a dream-come-true for every aspirant. Right now, India has 23 IIT colleges all over the country. IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Mumbai, IIT Chennai and IIT Delhi are the most prestigious among all. IITs select candidates via a common admission process called the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced. It is considered the toughest entrance in the engineering sector. They offer engineering degrees in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. Their academic structure consists of first-degree programs (commonly known as B. Tech), M Tech and doctoral programs for engineering students.

3. CE (College of Engineering, Anna University)-

College of Engineering, Guindy is the oldest engineering college in our country. Established in May of 1794 as s survey school, it became a civil engineering college in 1858. It became a part of Anna University in 1978.  They conduct no entrance test. The admission to the College of Engineering, Guindy is based on the marks obtained in Higher Secondary Examination. The admission notice publishes in all the leading newspapers. Anna University organizes a Single Window Admission System in which Higher Secondary marks are scaled to 200. And then they conduct the counselling based on the ranking.

4. JU (Jadavpur University, Kolkata)-

Jadavpur University for engineering is one of the oldest and most reputed engineering colleges in India. The admission of this university is decided by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination which is conducted by an independent body. Jadavpur University or JU offers engineering courses like  Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Construction Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Food Technology & Bio-Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical & Material Engineering, Power Engineering, Printing Engineering and Production Engineering and many more. 5. NIT (National Institute of Technology)-

The National Institute of Technology or NIT has 31 branches all over the country. The first NIT was established in Allahabad in 1961. In all the NIT colleges; three institutes located at Warangal, Trichy and Suratkalare are considered as the best among the rest. All the NITs have the common but highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination (Main) for B. Tech Admission and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for M. Tech conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority. 6. BIT (Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra)-

Birla Institute of Technology or BIT, Mesra is located at Ranchi in the State of Jharkhand. Students are selected in the B. Tech course as per their All India Rank (AIR) in Joint Entrance Exam (Main) CSAB and AIPMT. The first department of Space engineering and rocketry in India was started in BIT in 1964. This fully residential college offers courses like Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Production Engineering. Delhi Technological University, previously known as Delhi College of Engineering is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. DTU was established in the year 1941 as the first engineering college of Delhi.  The admission for Bachelor of Engineering or B Tech degree in this college is determined by the ranking of entrance examination conducted by Joint Admission Counseling Delhi (JAC-Delhi) along with Indira Gandhi Delhi Technological University for Women, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. And for M. Tech, candidates need to qualify for GATE. Outlook ranked Delhi Technological University 14 among the engineering colleges of India. Students can get admission for Bachelor of Technology through Joint Entrance Examination (Mains). Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology offers different courses in its B. Tech students namely Computer engineering, Electronics And Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Manufacturing Process And Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Bio-Technology. Vellore Institute of Technology or VIT University was established in 1984. This university selects students according to merit through an online entrance examination. Every April and May, VIT conducts an independent entrance exam called the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). The National Institutional Ranking Framework ranked VIT University, Vellore 14 among all the universities.
