The State Bank of India (SBI) conducts the well-esteemed SBI PO exam for the selective post of Probationary Officer for its overall branches located in India. Once in a year, the official ground of SBI came up with the 2000 vacancies for PO position also known as Management Trainees. Every year lakhs of meritorious candidates apply for the exam in order to recruit and working as an SBI PO.

The SBI PO is a three-stage certified exam which will take place at the different selective centers across the country. In the first stage, a participant has to qualify the Preliminary exam which will precede them to the next stage of the examination, i.e. the Mains exam. Those aspiring aspirants who qualify both the stages are called for the final Group Discussion or Personal Interview round.

Key Highlights of SBI PO Preliminary 2019

SBI PO is a national level exam organized by the State Bank of India for the post of Probationary Officers in several SBI bank branches across the nation. Let’s take a look at some key highlights of the SBI PO exam:

  • It’s an objective type question paper which is conducted for the complete duration of 1 hour.
  • The SBI PO Prelims consist of 3 sections including English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
  • Students will get +1 for each correct answer and deduct 1/4 marks for every incorrect or wrong answer.
  • The prelims of SBI PO 2019 will be held in the month of May to June 2019.
  • Number of Attempts for SBI PO Prelims Exam 2019-20 are as follows:

    • General PWD category students- 7 attempts
    • OBC category students- 7 attempts

SBI PO Eligibility 2019-20

In order to apply for the SBI Probationary Officers exam, 2019 students are advised to read the details of the eligibility pattern before submitting an online application. Here is the comprehensive structure of basic eligibility criteria:

  • An apprentice must hold permanent citizenship of Indian National.
  • He/ She should be a graduate scholar in any discipline from an Indian recognized college or institute.
  • The final year students can also apply for the exam.
  • A candidate must be between the age group of 21 to 30 years old as on April 1, 2019.
  • Minor community students belong to the SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen and J&K Migrants get an additional benefit of 5 years in the upper age limit.

SBI PO 2019: Pre-Exam Training for Reserved Category Students

The State Bank of India offers a pre-exam training for the reserved category students (SC/ST) or minor community aspirants. The program is a part of government’s initiative which has been taken to assist such scholastic aspirants who can’t afford their studies. The program offers 6 days orientation training scheme for the Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe students. In SBI PO Pre-exam students will be taught some imperative questions on important topics.
