Increase In Placement Percentage At IIM Indore In 2017

Examsplanner March 30, 2017:  There has been enhancement in the figure of campus placement at IIM Indore for the year 2017. There is increase of 28% in the numbers of candidates placed with different companies in the year 2017 from the previous year.

Companies’ participation at IIM Indore

Around 200 companies participated in the campus placement drive organized at the IIM Indore campus. It was attended by companies which were regular recruiters from the campus and there were many such companies which were first time recruiters at the campus.

Some of the top most companies which recruited candidates from the campus in the year 2011 are – Atos, Panasonic, Tech Mahindra, Apollo Pharmacy, Apollo Munich, Vedanta, Dell EMC, Amazon, Asian Paints, Genpact, Indus Oil, Johnson & Johnson, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Infosys Management Consulting and Shriram Wealth Advisors etc. These companies belonged to different sectors like – Sales & Marketing, General Management, Finance, Operation & HR, IT & Analytics and Strategy & Consulting.

Sector wise placement of candidates

Maximum number of candidates were recruited in the Strategy & Consulting sector. Around 160 candidates get placement with companies working in this sector. Some of the well-known companies of this sector are – Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Feedback Infra, Infosys Management Consulting, Cognizant Consulting group etc.

Finance was another sector which also absorbed second highest number of candidates in the field. Some of the well-known finance companies which participated in the recruitment drive were - Axis Bank, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co., HDFC, Edelweiss, HSBC, Indus Valley Partners etc.

In some other sectors percentage of recruitment of candidates are – 23 percent in the Sales & Marketing domain, 8% in the Technology sector and 7% in the Operation & HR sector.

Some of the top most companies from the Sales and Marketing were Britannia, Blue Star, Asian Paints, Dish TV, Hind ware, Hindustan Unilever, L’oreal, Maruti Suzuki, Pepsico, Raymonds, Philips etc.

Almost all candidates get placed with one or other companies. The average salary package offered to candidates were 16. 50 lacs per annum.
