Question 1: Has Navodaya Vidhyala Samiti announced the NVS Recruitment 2019 exam schedule?
Yes, the Samiti has announced the exam schedule for the upcoming exam. It will be held between 16th and 20th September.
Question 2: In how many cities will NVS conduct the recruitment exam?
42 centres or cities across India. However, “the centre for the written examination/ CBT for the post of Assistant Commissioner & Legal Assistant will be at Delhi/ NCR only,” states the official website.
Question 3: What is the total number of vacancies that NVS wishes to fill-in?
This year, NVS will hire 2,370 eligible candidates to fill in various posts such as Assistant Commissioner, Trained Graduate Teachers, Post Graduate Teachers, Miscellaneous Category of Teachers, Female Staff Nurse, Legal Assistant, Lower Division Clerk and Catering Assistant.
Question 4: I wish to apply for the post of Assistant Commissioner. What is the maximum age limit?
You should be less than 45 years.
Question 5: Is a foreign candidate eligible to apply?
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
Question 6: What is the exam procedure? In how many shifts will it be held? Will there be different shifts for different posts?
NVS schedule for the online examination has been announced by the Authority. The exam will be held between 16th and 20th September in different shifts. For more details, refer to the “Other Section”.
Question 7: When will admit card for NVS 2019 be made available?
The exam-conducting has not declared the dates yet. However, it is expected to be issued one week before the commencement of the exam.

Question 9: If I crack the CBT exam, will I be directly recruited for the post?
Actually, No! After the Computer-based Test, NVS will shortlist the candidates who clear the examination for Interview or Personal Interaction. If you are appearing for either Female Staff Nurse or Legal Assistant or Catering Assistant posts, selection to the post will directly be done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in CBT. Question 10: Once selected, how much salary will the candidates draw?
It varies from posts to post. For instance, the Assistant Commissioner will get Level -12 (Rs.78,800 – 2,09,200) in the Pay Matrix.
