UPSEE Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Various Courses

The online application process for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) 2018 has started on 23 January. The state level entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted on 29 April for UG courses and 05 and 06 May for PG courses. Application for the USPEE exam 2018 can be made online only. Before moving ahead with the application process, make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria.

UPSEE Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Following are the eligibility conditions for admission into different courses offered by AKTU and its affiliated colleges.

UPSEE Exam 2018 Eligibility Conditions for B. Tech/B. Pharm./B.Des./B.Pharm./BFA/BFAD/BHMCT/MBA (integrated)/MCA (integrated)

The qualifying examination for UPSEE 2018 is intermediate examination of U.P. board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent. Following are the subject combinations for various courses:

  • For first year admission into B.Tech./B.Des./B.Pharm./BHMCT/BFA/BFAD/MCA (integrated)/MBA (integrated), candidate must have passed the intermediate exam of U.P. Board or 10+2 level of the exam or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
  • A candidate should have minimum 45% marks (aggregate) (40% marks for SC/ST) in required three subjects.
  • Also, he/she should have passed without any grace marks in all subjects.
  • For admission into B.Arch course, the minimum aggregate marks required are 50%.

UPSEE Exam 2018 Eligibility Conditions for MBA/MCA

  • A candidate should have passed a minimum 3 years Bachelor Degree Programme from any of the recognized Indian university.
  • He/she must have secured at least 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in total without any grace marks.
  • For MCA, the candidate must have passed Mathematics subject at 10+2 or graduation level.

UPSEE Exam 2018 Eligibility Conditions for 2nd Year (lateral entry) into B.Tech./B.pharm./MCA

Note

  • Lateral Entry or Direct Admission to the second year of B.Arch./BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA courses is not allowed.

  • A candidate should have passed a minimum 3 years Bachelor Degree Programme from any of the recognized institution located in Uttar Pradesh.
  • He/she must have secured at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) marks in total without any grace marks. 
  • For MCA course (lateral entry), he or she must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.

UPSEE Exam 2018 Eligibility Conditions for admission through NRI Quota in first year

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent level of examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from an institution located outside the country.

OR

He or she must have passed High School Certificate Education (GCE) exam with Chemistry, Higher Mathematics, and Physics from Cambridge/London/Sri Lanka.

  • He or she must have appeared in the SAT II exam with Mathematics level II C, Chemistry, and Physics. The merit of such candidates shall be judged on the basis of their SAT II score.

The candidates who meet the above-mentioned criteria may apply for admission to 5% NRI quota seats in state-funded and private colleges of U.P.

UPSEE Exam 2018 Eligibility Conditions for Foreign Nationals (FN)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC)

  • Candidate should have passed 10+2 level or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Candidates are required to submit a copy of their passport or equivalent document as an evidence of their Nationality.
